I thought to myself looking at that old lady all happy about the pick, "good for them." Then the commentator said that the last #1 pick for Washington was Kwame Brown. Forgot that little hilarious nugget.

If the Wizards make the right moves this off-season, i can see them sneaking at 8th, especially in the East. Andray Blatche and John Wall is a nice PG-C combo to work on, but what will they do with Arenas ?
Wall / Foye / Livingston Arenas / Crittenton / Young Howard / Miller Thornton / Blatche / Mcgee Not a bad starting 5. If Arenas is healthy, they should be good enough to barely make/miss the playoffs in the east. I bet they regret that Dallas trade now... Wall Arenas Butler Haywood Blatche
Congrats ... your hopes will be pinned on a guy who isn't a scorer (or shooter) nor a difference-maker defensively. Not a recipe for championships.
i called that the wiz would get it as soon as i saw leonsis was there. He is good luck and a great owner... should've bet on it!
Well, there's also a fair amount of cap wiggle room. We'll see what the Wizards do with it. It would be nice to start completely over with a number one draft pick and new owner. Unfortunately Arenas and Grunfeld are still around.
