Anyone else getting this? It essentially networks all of your DVRs so you can watch them from any other tuner in the house, and also any PC.

There are also some other multimedia features like UPnP server access to listen to music from the DirecTV tuners, picture slideshows, etc.

I'm getting it Wednesday. The upgrade also eliminates the need for dual cable lines to the boxes.

My sister has AT&T U-verse, and it has one DVR that is networked to all the various receivers in the house. It's dang cool. It doesn't do any of that other stuff as far as I know.

Sweet! I've been waiting for the rollout. I tried the Beta, but couldn't get it to work well with my wireless connection. For $3 a month, it's a no-brainer.

Bah, looks like they require in installer to set it up. I love DirecTV's lineup, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

    I'll keep you all posted.

Being a geek, I have the entire house wired with cat 6 already so I won't have to deal with their wireless bridges. I am going to be there for the install so they can't muck it up.

Im a bit jealous. The single wire solution is nice. Now you can move your different receivers to whatever room and they should work. Have the tech show you how it is all networked together in the event you want to move things around.

With this being a new system, make sure you ask the tech on his precall how many times he's done this. There have been some complaints about guys showing up and having no clue on what equipment they should have on hand.
