If KG is healthy and Celtics defense is back, they are going to be very hard to beat.

If Pierce gets his act together on offense, they will be unstoppable.

You guys are having knee-jerk reactions. Take a chill pill, it's just the 2nd quarter of game 1.

well we know howard isn't going to score this series so you're basically relying on two softies like rashard and carter and then hoping jameer can score on rondo. ain't gonna happen. orlando role players are like cleveland role players, they love when things are easy and lebron and howard are beasting people and getting them open shots. turn up the heat a little and suddenly they don't know what to do. the celtics big 4 may all disappear intermittently, but they can step up when the going gets rough. lets hope i'm wrong, but boston is in a groove and we're seeing things like tony allen and rasheed wallace making more big plays than the entire supporting cast of the other team for the last few games.

the celtics have done what all great aggressive teams opening on the road seem to do, come out and stomp on a team's neck in the 1st quarter and throw the crowd and the other team off and immediately get them on their heels. hopefully they blow the game and the series, but i'm not holding my breath.

also, i like to get pissed off and overreact.

LOL! Obviously Lebron is more important than this series and the next one lol, not saying lebron is arrogant because i never meet him but wouldnt you be arrogant if you recieved more coverage than the teams that are still competing for a championship? When lebron does win next year (if the rockets dont) with the bulls the coverage will carry over to the next season.

As for this series though, Celtics in 5 i feel like celtics could possibly sweep, and its just because Kendrick Perkins is strong. That is the only reason, push Dhoward out 5 ft and he is useless on offense, and Kendrick can push dwight away from the basket.

Celts will win the championship this year

    wow...Orlando is ICE-COLD from outside.

And the refs apparently swallowed their whistles in the 2nd quarter. Very inconsistent officitating IMO.

    Ugly 1st half.

The key for this series is magics' 3s.

Sorry, I can't believe that. You're giving excuses for the Magic. It's Boston's defense that's pummeled them and they have to make adjustments. The better defensive team will win this series, and it's clearly Boston right now.

Very good point. If Tony Allen makes a positive contribution every game, the Celts go to another level. I don't know what's gotten into him.

Kendrick Perkins is a total chump on offense. He can't do anything well except set picks (and even then it seems like he gets called for an offensive foul half the time).

The Magic should feel good being down only 9. If they hit some 3-pointers, the lead will disappear in no time. Otherwise, it will be tough for them.

I completely agree with your statements except I don't think a series can be judged by the first half of game 1 and I'm not making excuses for the Magic. Home teams often start out rusty after long layoffs, especially against tough defenses like the Celts.

This premature burying of the Magic is amusing. Even if the Celts win game 1, they haven't won the series. The Magic also play good defense and will adjust on offense. Just give them some time. Even if the Magic come back to take game 1, they could very easily lose game 2. I'm in the minority on this, but I seriously don't believe home-court means much in this series.

For the record, I don't have a "favorite" here, just whoever would most likely beat the Lakers.

I'm in the same boat (although I'm not convinced the Lakers will get by the Suns if no fixing is involved). As such, I'm having difficulty deciding who to root for here... I think Boston is a tougher opponent for the Fakeshow but Orlando would have HCA, which is huge. Who do you want?

RicBucher Maybe I'm old school, but can't see LBJ/Dwight w/a ring til they lose the dancing/acting/histrionics. Shaq=clown but Wade/Kobe had rudder.
