Saw the original broadcast. This one is one of my favorites. Glad to see Miami and Notre Dame doing it again three more times.
this is my favorite. it was awesome to have seen them dominate over the years. it's hard to believe so much talent is in one small part of the country. it's kind of like how most the oxycotins in the country are prescribed in one small area as well, yep, you guessed it. south florida.
i thought that the conclusion of this film was complete bull****. they showed the stadium getting ripped down as a metaphor of how the program came crashing down after its 80s hey-day. are you kidding me? the butch davis 'canes may have been more talented and better all around than the 80s-era 'canes. hell, anyone remember 2001? that may have been the greatest collection of talent ever assembled on a collegiate football team. i thought that was sheer laziness on the part of the director.
I agree with TexasFight. Didn't really make any sense how it ended. I found out they're to be making a sequel that focuses more on the '01 team. If they insinuated that Coker was "responsible" for the demise then it would make more sense. I'm thinking these guys didn't an interview with Butch. Plus the way he left the school for the Browns wasn't exactly classy. Define responsibility. Honestly, I got the feeling that they all reveled in it. Regardless it was entertaining (and still probably the best 30 for 30 thus far; the Colts band doc was also spectacular).
Couldn't disagree more with there being a sequel coming out. It's got the people wanting more, so hell, why not stop it, you know? Rep for your opinion though, never thought about it.
