If you have ever seen Raymond....its Hilarious...

    Seinfeld....well its Seinfeld

I think these two are the front sitcom runners...

    What do you guys think....

How can you put them in the same sentence? Seinfeld is so far and away the better comedy that I'm actually feeling sorry for Raymond (and everybody).

I loved Seinfeld and still do, but honestly the characters get annoying from time to time, as do some of the stories. I really hadn't watched it much in the last several years because the show started getting on my nerves, but now I'm slowly getting back into it.

I've never had that problem with Friends or Raymond though.

I think it depends who you are. Married people connect more with Ray and single people Seinfeld. Yes, there is cross over, but it is pretty nicely split.

I stopped watching both shows before they ended and I don't watch either in syndication. There are a lot of Seinfeld storylines I liked, but overall I had to say I loved Raymond. Raymond had its dirty humor, but for the most part, it was clean. Seinfeld was really perverse and at the end of the day I didn't like any of the characters. If I met the Seinfeld people in real life, chances are I wouldn't want to hang out with them at all.

It just depends on your taste. Seinfeld is definitely up there but i really don't watch it anymore since I've seen all of the episodes.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the best current comedy. I guess that TV mature shows really do it for me.

30 Rock isn't too far behind followed by shows like Parks, Community, & the Office. The League and Modern Family have had solid starts too imo...

Arrested Development & Curb Your Enthusiasm are two shows that I've briefly seen and liked. I really want to see more though when I have time.

Edit: Ya the Office has fallen off some but I guess it's hard to replicate greatness.

This is a joke, right? There is no comparison, and I shouldn't even have to say which show I'm talking about.

"Seinfeld" is one of those shows where if I turn on an episode...I'll watch it even though I've seen it before multiple times.

I wish I knew how to quit you.

Officially re-tittle this thread as "The Seinfeld Appreciation thread", because that's what it's about to be.

Raymond is funny in a way, but there are too many naggy women on that show. It hits too close to home...... :(

Seinfeld and it's not even that close. I like Raymond, but it doesn't hold a candle to Seinfeld.

Marie: "Don't you tell me to be quiet! I have a mind of my own you know! I can contribute! I'm not just some... trophy wife!"

Frank: "You're a trophy wife? What contest in hell did I win?"

Seinfeld wins, but ELR was an awesome show.

The vote is currently 17-0 and it's not nearly lopsided enough.
