First Off Rockets to trade 2012 Knicks pick, Jordan Hill, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier( with the agreement to buy him out), and Jared Jeffries to the Raptors for their 2010 first round draft pick, Chris Bosh, and their 2011 first round draft pick. There are many reasons why this trade will happen, the main reason being the Raptors want to get something for Chris Bosh, not lose him for nothing, and also not to see him stay in the Eastern Conference( Knicks, Bulls, Heat), for obvious reasons. So of course they would feel much better to see him traded to team in the Western Conference, than to see him on an Eastern Conference team, and I think Morey knows that. Although we lose Ariza, Hill, Jeffries and one of the valuable knick picks. I think the Rockets will still end up winning in the end. For the Draft: I think the Rockets will use the 13th pick which they aquire from The Raptors to draft Donatas Motiejunas (a 7'0 small forward who will replace Trevor ,also has way more upside than Trevor offensively). With the 14th pick which the Rockets already own, they will draft Hassan Whiteside (everyone knows we need shot blocking bad.)And with Yao possibly not coming back until the start of the 2011 playoffs, were going to need someone to protect the rim. This id also has a lot of potential (sometimes I still wish Patrick Ewing were still here to develop Whiteside into a force ala Dwight Howard. Not saying he will be a Dwight, but he has a small chance. I think everyone saying this kid is not a hard-worker will motivate him. Anyways our starting lineup Will Look like this for the start of the 2010-2011 NBA Season PG- Aaron Brooks SG- Kevin Martin SF- Donatas Motiejunas PF- Chris Bosh C- Hassan Whiteside Its gonna suck to lose Trevor, but I think with Battier (I hope the Raps buy him out), that will help us a little. And maybe we could use some of the mle to sign Matt Barnes if Shane Battier does not get bought out. Also I really don’t think Scola will be back on the Rockets, I value Lowry more than Scola at this point in their careers, Scola is past 30, and we really need a solid backup point guard. And Lowry is perfect for that role. Maybe Morey Purchases some 2nd round talent again this year to replace Luis. Well what do my fellow Rockets faithful think about this Offseason.
well maybe i overexagerated with the raps giving us their 2011 pick, but thats the trust i have with morey, this guy straight robs teams, and leaves no evidence at the crime scene. i think if the raps are that desperate enough to not want to see bosh in the east it could happen
starting 2 rookies? we're not rebuilding we're retooling and we're NOT trading Ariza ur talkin about givin away the core of our farm AND a Knick pick? lol Im glad ur not makin the decisions trade Battier, MAYBE Scola or Brooks mayb give them this years 1st for Bosh and Jarrett Jack but we wouldnt have to even give up that much cuz Toronto dont have the leverage.. DM is gona come out on top as usual

Wonderful!! Absolutely wonderful!!!! I love it. Don't mind the haters. They don't have the vision to see that this would automatically make us winners again. The only problem is Donatas will want to stay in Europe. :grin:
my ideal off season: we don't give up any of our players, except jeffries or taylor (who has potential but im not attached) i like how our guys played together, and i figure with yao back we can win 10 more games to make the playoffs. are we good enough with this team plus yao to win a championship, personally i feel we are very close. i would like to see us devote our available cap space to signing a good backup center. i would like to see what this team could do with yao in their line up Yao/??? Scola/Hill Ariza/Battier Martin/Budinger Brooks/Lowry i believe that starting line up is a very good one, i dont think we need to get rid of brooks to get bosh, we already have a great pf in scola why do we need bosh?! has he won anything? has he proven anything? had he even been out of the first round (honestly i dont know)... im afraid some of you just want bosh because of his name
I have a dream: In 2011, with only $18 million locked up in Ariza, and Martin and another $4.5 million in team options on Hill, Taylor, and Budinger...my dream Westbrook / some draft pick Martin / Taylor Ariza / Budinger / to keep Battier? Granger / Hill Yao / Hayes (thank god the that $3 million on Andersen is a team option).
I think Whiteside is going to be picked before the 12th pick. Why three big guys? The Triplet Towers? I think you are giving a lot for Chris Bosh.
