Colon cleanse, detoxing. It's all bull****, lol. As others have said, try the simple stuff Metamucil, epsom salt, other laxatives and that'll clean you out quick. It won't do you any real good though unless you're poisoned.
Crap doesn't really build up in your body. Some people hold the belief that taking a colon cleanser will help them rid their body of 'toxins' or make them feel better, etc. But in reality, it's just an awkward turd that results from eating a ton of fiber. I wish more people were like you and understood why they would take fiber.
Not only is colon cleansing completely unnecessary, but it can also be dangerous. Aside from dehydrating you, it gets rid of a lot of good things in your system, such as bacteria that regulate the GI tract and salvage vitamins in the large intestine. Do as all the others have said in this thread and eat a high fiber diet, whether it be through a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, or through a supplement like metamucil.
colon cleansing is only neccesary when you are going to have a colonoscopy, the day before you got the colonscopy, the hospital gives you a very powerful thing to get all out, and the doctors can see in there.
No it is not, you can lose a lot of water weight if you have not worked out in a while. After that weight loss would be significantly slower. As for the guy you quoted, I would not know.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Most people are actually constipated because they don't know have enough bowl movements. As someone who actually does enimas on a daily basis, I can tell you I am the most least backed up person and yet I still crap 3 or 4 times a day. When's the last time you had that many bowl movements? If you don't come close to that, which is what I suspect you are constipated, at least to some degree. If you just have 1 bowl movement a day, you aren't going to necessarily be in bad shape, but I can tell you that you would feel a WHOLE lot better if you had more than 1. The way I do an enima is just with a little warm water in the shower, which might sound gross or weird but it is actually cleaner than the mother natures way. It has to coming out one way o the other or be backed up. I don't need enima machines because I've learned how to do it without it.
All i do is put some toilet paper on my finger and wiggle it around a little bit in there. It usually flows right out after that. Hahahaha
Really? REALLY? Honestly? I am a medical student who has studies for a living. I've seen people destroy their colons over fears of being constipated and taking supplements. The average person poops between 0.8 and 2.75 times per day. When you poop more than that, the poop usually does not have enough time to harden, and it's called diarrhea. When you have difficulty voiding and it's pebble shaped or really ragged it's constipation. If your poop looks normal, it is normal. If you're concerned, see your primary care physician.

This may be one of the nastiest posts I've ever read on Clutchfans. You act like an enema is a hobby or something. I suggest you check yo'self before you wreck yo'self...in public. Literally.
