Oh of course, i'm not saying it's bad, it's just not what I expected. I expected upper 80's to low 90's like the other super movie sequels got...
I watched the movie and it was alright but... Spoiler it seem like a spring board movie towards the avengers, hinting and hyping it up and it seem to take away from the story line a little bit. The first movie the story line was awesome. This one not so much and the guy that played War Machine. He didn't do bad, but it wasn't nothing to talk about either. It was just blah... I didn't get to see what happened after the credits cause I watched it online and it cut off as soon as the movie ended, so I guess I'm gonna still gonna go see it in theaters anyways.
Why not? I don't think it's a lot to ask when people kept saying Iron Man was better than Spider-Man... and then when Spider-Man 2 came out, it lived up to all the expectations. Same went with Batman Begins. Awesome super-hero movie, followed by possibly the best super hero movie of all time in it's sequel.
Dark Knight was no superhero movie. It stands on it own, carried by a great storyline and great actors. You don't even notice the main characters are dressed up like its Halloween.
Methinks you're confusing an awesome summer movie with an exceptional film. One is exciting and fun. The other crosses so many emotional borders and hurdles that it is difficult to describe. I loved Iron Man. I still love Iron Man. I think Downey and the rest did a superb job. That said, I can't say that I thought it was Oscar-worthy. The Dark Knight is one of the greatest films I've ever seen and I fully expected some serious discussion as to whether it should be recognized as such, and in my opinion, it most certainly has been.
Spot on, TDK was strictly a gangster flick with a superhero theme as the subplot. That is the way superhero movies should be made today, give it a serious tone/plot and the superhero aspect of it should be a distant secondary storyline.
Saw it last night. Not as good as first. First one was so great, I was really hoping we'd have a great sequel. I wasn't expecting like TDK good, but Spider-Man 2 good (I love Spidey 2 btw). Still wasn't bad though.
This. Iron Man is a very well made superhero flick with a great cast, non-dull story line and great special effects. The Dark Knight is a pantheon of writing, a technical masterpiece. A story that is made near flawless by the performances within. It is collectively what a movie should be. Nothing about it screams cheesy superhero flick with the possible exception of Patrick Bateman's death growls.
got back from a afternoon show i was happy with the movie it was a good sequel when compared to other movie sequels, not just super hero genre ones. Downey was great again as Stark It was well worth the price of admission, I would recommend others to go see it. somethings i wish they did differently Spoiler Rourke's russian was often not subtitled I wished they subtitled it I wonder what he may have said at times if it was something that could add to his character or what also seems like both movies had the enemy also wearing a armored suit wish it was something else, but if they are trying to keep it in the realm of realistic enemies (no special power rings etc) it makes sense. If a third movie is made i hope its not the same case would become redudant then thought the final battle with Rourke was a bit short
