...Gatorade hydrates you better than water? Are there actual, legitimate studies done by parties not affiliated with Gatorade that have found an significant evidence to prove such claims?
Gatorade and Powerade have electrolytes. Water has no substantial electrolytes. Unless it is Vitamin Water. This will cause a mind explosion if you think about it too much.
the power of ELECTROLYTES!!!!!!!!! a source of infinite energy and inspiration in every drop /gatorade commercial water seems pretty good to me
Drink 1/2 Gatorade, 1/2 water. Undiluted Gatorade has too many electrolytes that it actually won't hydrate as well. Still better than regular water, though.
We've done some studies on it for wildland firefighters and the recommendation we go by is 1 part -ade to 3 parts water.
you go drink a gallon of sea water... I'll go drink a gallon of drinking water... let's see which symptoms start taking effect first...

Salt helps retain water, which is why you hear the term "water weight, bloated, etc" when someone has a heavy sodium diet. So while it may not help you hydrate per say, it can help you retain fluids better I guess?
