We absolutely can not...CAN NOT afford to lose BROOKS. Man, are you kidding me?? Dude has the speed to pretty much do whatever he want on the court and dominate if he want. Secondly, he is extremely deadly and consistent from outside which is a MUST for playing with Yao.

If we have to lose someone...it's going to be Battier or Ariza. No way you can give away Scola or Brooks.

but....BUT if there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE and we have to give away BROOKS in order to obtain Bosh.....then by all mean do it!!

The reason i do this is because we still have Lowry who is a winner every time he's on the court (and he want to start) and i am sure he and Martin and Ariza and Bosh and Yao are going to be something to behold. All 3 perimeter players want to attack and draw a lot of fouls.

But if they want someone else along with Brooks such as Battier...HELL NO!! Forget it!!!

the rockets dont have to give up that much and especially if the take on hedo the raptors are going to loose bosh anyway if its reasonable they'll be happy probably with one pick if there picky bosh a probably sign with the knick and leave them with nothing and play them 3 or 4 times a year and kill them but like i said the before the rocket could offer battier, jeffiers, hill and this years lottery pick maybe throw in taylor and tell them to release battier so he can resign with the rox or if your taking back hedo trade battier, jefferis, ariza, hill and maybe a future pick since the rox are helping the raps in cap space

No way we include Brooks.... I would rather send Lowry anyways, he may want a starting gig anyways, and may command too much money as a free agent.....

While I agree that Barkely probably ended our legit contender run a bit earlier then it should have, Bosh is 25 and won't be breaking down anytime soon while also having a better GM who will make smart moves to build around the guy.

Side note - Honestly, never minded the Barkley deal because it got us past Seattle and that was the one obstacle in our way. If it hadn't been for a bear hug on Clyde and a torn tendon on Charles we probably beat Utah in back to back years instead of losing.

IMO..if we give up brooks,,we will then have a hole to fill at pg..everyone in this league isnt a starter..lowry is a damn good back up..and thats what he needs to be...somebody has to come off the bench in the nba,,everyone cant start.remember kenny smith and sam cassel=both could start=spark off the bench=championship ring..lowry draws fouls,,thats about it..nothing to me says starter of a hopefully championship bound team..damn good backup and spark off the bench tho..brooks can get by anyone anytime he wants.shoot the lights out and can score at wil and is the MIP..his confidence level is very high..he lacks height, defence, and ball control.but i think he will improve over time..ala a few deep runs in the playoffs..so i guess im not jumping on the bosh band wagon..i think alot of people would be surprised to see how good this team would be if only yao returned to healthy again..we almost beat the lakers in the playoffs..so this team is pretty damn good the way it sits..without overpaying and breaking the core for mr.bosh..

Why do we have to give up all of our young assets and starting pieces for our guy that is going to leave the team either way. They just want something in return. We should give them an expiring, a pick, and jordan hill or budinger.

We don't. We have a lot to offer without giving up integral parts of our team. If it isn't enough to get Bosh, let's look for upgrades elsewhere.

I chose option 2 because we need production now, Scola and Bosh will give us that, sorry Jordan.

Does anyone realize CB4 is consuming 10/20 of the threads on the first page and 7/20 on the second?

When did he become a Rocket?

Why dont we offer yao for bosh and trade for gortat? Find out where scola wants to go, do a sign and trade, dump mr intangibles and move forward.

Right now, the rockets are on the verge of being irrelevant big time. Why? Their trying to convince themselves a injured prone giant with bad feet is worth building around. Getting bosh for yao would give the team a restart. They have as much of a chance of landing bosh with that idea than the one about playing with yao.

Because salary totals have to match.
