    Mike Bibby wasn't a playmaker
    Kenny Smith wasn't a playmaker
    Derek Fisher wasn't a playmaker
    Tony Parker wasn't a playmaker
    Jameer Nelson isn't a playmaker

All scorers, or shooters. Brooks can work offensively. But he certainly need to commit more on the other end.

Uh because on the depth chart he is listed as a PG.

And when you watch him play on the court most of the time he is playing PG.

why you count the rings on this one, farmar contributed almost nothing, and fisher just a bit.
so fisher is better than nash because fisher has rings?

I say parker - hill is the best PG duo.

all the rings prove is that they were on a good team. fisher and farmar arent even close to the best tandem.

    My ranking is:
    1: NO
    2: SA
    3: CHI
    4: HOU
    5: ORL
    6: PHO
    7: GS

i was tempted to put pheonix higher because i think nash is just that good.

also, im surprised no one's mentioned orlando yet. nelson's a stud and williams has been much better than i expected this year.

You need to be watching Jameer. The man is destroying it in the playoffs.

Glad I'm not alone on this... as if the roles of positions are some sort of sacred commandment.

You can probably add Billups and Lawson to that group. Lawson is probably going to be a future starter.

Arguably, there is also Mo Williams/Delonte West.

you named all the point guards (except Bibby) that had offenses based on the big guys.

    kenny -dream
    fisher - mostly with Shaq
    Parker - duncan
    Nelson - howard

The other key aspect that's underrated is assist to turnover ratio.

I agree. I think this is a top 5 combo, with Lawson's speed game (great fit for the mile high altitude) backing up Billups' solid play.

I also really enjoyed watching the Sac combo of T. Evans and Udrih.

I would say the best PG combos are:

    NOH
    Chicago
    Denver
Sac (if you classify evans as a PG but like so many have debated before, I am not gonna start it again)
    PHX
    OKC
    HOU

The Rockets offense will be based on big guys (Yao) maybe Bosh too.

And a lot of you guys are giving FAR too much credit to Goran Dragic.

I absolutely agree C-Bill/TyLaw, but not Mo/West. Dallas' 3-some is challenging; Bibby is done.

Glad to see my man Udrih going from "most overrated" to "highly notable"

Having 2 really good PG's is overrated. Especially if both of them are true PG's that can't play the 2. That is all... carry on.
