Since good Point Guards are in demand, maybe the Rockets should draft Jamal Crawford at #9 and then trade him to a team in need of a point guard (eg. Toronto, LA Clippers, Detroit, etc) for a proven PF.

    What do you think?

I'd rather draft a player the Rocks can use. Theres also the possibility of the deal falling through. Leaving Houston with a wasted lottery pick in a deep draft.

I'd draft Crawford at 9 and would make a deal with Toronto for McGrady and Antonio Davis. If they want a PG that bad and don't want to lose T-Mac for nothing and since I have heard some rumblings that they may want to trade Antonio Davis, we could take both of them off their hands. We could also package Drew to be backup for them and perhaps Walt Williams and then the trade exception and other considerations to make it work. I predict T-Mac will be the best small forward in the NBA in a couple of years and would go PERFECT with our backcourt. What is he, like 21? And Duncan would probably sign a 1 year deal with someone and then when OLajuwon retires, we could give him his max contract. Unlikely, yes but given Rudy's and Carrol's track records, I wouldn't put it behind them.

5 years from now, could we regret passing on Crawford ? I hear he has alot of upside. Who was it that said he had the most pro- potential ? It wasn't his coach at Michigan, maybe his hs coach ?
