    Only the Rockets can compete:

    Yao / Hayes
    Scola/ Hill
    Ariza / Battier
    Martin /Budinger
    Brooks / Lowry

    Yao > Howard
    Scola < Lewis
    Ariza > Barnes
    Martin < Carter
    Brooks > Nelson

    Hayes < Gordat
    Hill < Bass/Anderson
    Battier > Pietrus
    Budinger > Redick
    Lowry > Nelson

The Rockets are better/deeper in 6/10 positions.

It's more about quality than quantity.

    Bynum/Gasol/Artest/Kobe/Fisher/Odom

I agree with "Healthy" Yao better than Howard , sort of agree with Ariza/Barnes thing. But Nelson is better than Brooks , Nelson is one of the most underrated players in the league. Brooks is a solid player , but more people in the NBA would take Nelson over Brooks any day of the week. But i guess we have our homer picks of the week :)

Pietrus is a great bench player , Battier is getting older and not the same few yrs back. I will give you Budinger very good young player , Redick also does somethings well . I will def give you Lowry better than J-Will .

    I give you Gasol,Kobe,Odom

    Bynum = consistently unhealthy

Artest = On Offense could be a blackhole sometimes

Fisher= gets torched by good young pgs , Last year Nelson missed the playoffs , besides playing few games in the finals.

This year Nelson is playing on fire in the playoffs , putting the team on his back while DH 12 is cleaning his "Superman" glasses on the bench.

I agree completely about Nelson. I was hesitant to give Brooks the edge.

I prefer Martin over Carter at this point in their careers just like you prefer Pietrus (who is a great player to have) over Battier.

I still believe this Rockets team can compete with any team in a seven game series. The 14th pick, any trade, and MLE are just bonuses.

    In Morey I trust.

Rockets are a few pieces away from contending for a title for sure....like getting healthy Yao, Bosh,etc.....

kidding me right? we're talking about the #1 team in the West.. you could take any 5 player nba team, point out their weaknesses and make them look like the timberwolves

If basketball was 4on4 with no PG, Lakers would have the deepest roster without question. That being said, it isn't like Bynum impresses me much either, but the Lakers' collective height certainly does.

This year, I'm ok going with the Magic from top to bottom.

I was referring to the post when talking about quality over quantity ,i was pointing out that the fact there is the quality is lil overrated due to the fact there are in the L.A market.

I wasnt discounting the season L.A had this season , just pointing out the some of the reasons why L.A is mainly revolved around 3 players. Kobe,Gasol,Odom.

The funny thing about the Mavs is they have had great rosters over the last 10 yrs , but NO TITLES ! Colts have also had great records since Manning took over in the regular season , but Manning has only 1 SB to show for all these years .

It shows it is not about talent on the roster all the time , its has a lot do with Chemistry 101.

    Blazers

    Oden / Godzilla
    Aldridge / Camby
    Batum / Webster
Roy / Fernandez (if he re-signs)
    Miller / Bayless

Rockets should re-sign Lowry and trade him for Fernandez/Miller. Then sign Miller and Miller and have the most Millers!

    Miller
    Scola
    Miller
    Martin
    Miller

Miller to Miller to Miller back to Miller, Miller for 3! :p

Magic are deep. Too bad they have Carter or they'd be champs this year.
