Most people who claim to enjoy their jobs have actually convinced themselves that they like it because the day-to-day realization that they are spending the majority of their time either working at a job or sleeping would be unbearable. Everyone knows that the best job is really the least-worst job.
I like what I do. It provides an outlet for me- My OCD would compel me to fix or build something anyway, so I might as well get paid for it.
Being in school trying to take a graduate level math class final where you need to prove some random structure is like another random structure is way worse. I don't think even the teacher really explains the methodology. She just regurgitates whats on the book and internet. Her explanation stare at it for a while and you will get it.
"..work sucks, I know.." Spoiler They must hate making (crappy) music and doing concerts I guess.. ..oh and having an eel eat the insides of your butt sucks more.
I'm going to modify this. Work itself doesn't suck. Certain people at work do. Sometimes, you want to have a Ron Artest Indiana Pacers @ Detroit moment.
It's a balance of which sucks more. No money vs work. No money nearly always wins the suck department.
Been writing briefs and researching since this afternoon, and then a flight followed by a presentation in 6 hours.. what's the point of making money if you're too busy?
Word... I don't understand how people say when they retire, they get bored and want to work again...are you kidding me? i was just out of work for about 14 months and if wasn't for the fact I needed money, I would be perfectly happy doing nothing, going to HH, working out, hanging out...
this thread just reminded me about a co worker that got in trouble for posting something similar in facebook. that kid is an idiot, he knows that other members of upper management are able to see his posts. and they say our youth is getting smarter. in your case, your safe. this is the safe place to post complaints.
Work sucks, but enough of my buddies have been laid off the last 2 years for me to realize how lucky I am to still have this job. Hell, I even got a raise this year and it was twice the company average. Perspective.
