http://news.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978211239 Water is every where...People are going nuts, grocery stores are getting filled with lines to the back, gas stations are being hoarded...In other words, it's like Hurricaine IKE for those not use to such things... I-24 looks like a river...It's crazy. I got my vehicles filled with gas, did a little hoarding myself with a couple 5 gallon tanks...Plenty of water and food...The M4 carbine is loaded in the living room with 6 additional- 30 round mags at the ready just in case... Unfortunately, the reinforced bunker has taken in some water (which has never happened)..fun times
Ha, I just knew there would be something along these lines in your post. Seriously though, good luck man. Flooding is such a pain in the ass.
That's brutal. We're expecting some of that heavy rain here in Atlanta tonight with flash flood watches.
Thanks...This reminds me of all the years living in Houston during the 'caines and aftermath flooding, or simply bad thunderstorms. Nashville has NEVER experienced the flooding we got this weekend. Unbelievable...check out the videos if you get a chance...The aftermath problems will be more than people realize here since locals are not use to flooding the way Houstonians are.
Bunker needs version 2.0, no? If water can get in, just think what biological weapons could do to you.
just spoke to my buddy, lives out in pegram. there's no water or electricity, fortunately, he was playing a gig in Dickson, where he's holed up now, waiting for the waters to recede, watching houses float by on the interstate...
My family is fine, Thanks. Unfortunately at least 10 people have lost their lives due to the flooding in the middle Tn. - Nashville area (mainly in vehicles getting overwhelmed)...There has been big problems at hospitals and schools. The aftermath is going to be crazy...The local news has been non-stop as you can imagine and the air-live scenes look like Katrina. It's unreal... The first responders are acting too late and they are trying to sandbag the cumberland river from completely submerging downtown. They are asking for volunteers even...It's crazy. I have been stuck to the news all day...Something has gone seriously wrong..The rain has all but stopped but major creeks and the cumberland river is rising fast... p.s. thanks for the VY pic, but you guys know I love the Texans (thank Lord for NFL sunday ticket!)
There are so many people stranded in certain areas, can't go home...certain highways are completely underwater. Some people who tried to chance it didn't turn around, and drowned.
I'm really hoping this flooding goes away soon. Gotta leave school at some point for the summer. Hope everyone else in Nashville is doing alright.
I live about an hour south of Nashville and we weren't hit nearly as hard as they were but we got lots and lots of rain. Thankfully, it did not rain as much as they had forecasted today. The wife and me were watching the local news (all out of Nashville) and they showed the scenes from I-24 around Bell Road. I believe it is the first time that all 3 major Nashville interstates (24, 40, and 65) were closed or portions of them were closed at the same time. Stay safe ROXRAN.
My heart goes out to all the families suffering from the flooding in Tennessee. Sadly, we know all to much about this here in Houston.
The bunker is not any good if you can't use it in times of flood, at least you found that out, and need to upgrade that sucker. DD
