The incredible thing is that it's nowhere near the hottest you can get, either. I usually put a couple of drops into anything I make or eat. Man, that stuff's nuclear. I think the Scoville rating is somewhere around 200,000 (a jalapeno is about 3000). I have some stuff called Satan's Blood that has a Scoville rating about 800,000. They make stuff that's 7,000,000 scoville units. I think I'll use that to strip paint or something. The bottles of these hot sauces cost about $5-$7, but they last for months!
There is one that was really good... had carrot juice in it... anyone know which one I refer to? It's from central america...
since this thread's been brought back from the dead... has anyone tried the "Jalapeno" variety of Tabasco sauce...? been curious about that one... just not sure if it would actually be good...
Sriracha is good, but to really feel the burn, with some awesome flavor, you want Thai Chili paste, comes in Green, Red, Orange, and Yellow "flavors." great stuff, i make a version of Thai Chicken Curry with a stir fry that starts w/ green curry paste, and at the end, you stir in a bechamel sauce. and to complete the cross-cultural cross-pollination, serve it over orzo...
This reminds me ... I need to buy some Mad Dog 357 or some similar nuclear hot sauce. I'm almost out. A couple of drops of that stuff is enough to bring the heat in anything.
That stuff is good, although not remotely hot. But it will make you spit some fire in the toilet for the next couple of days. If you want hot, just snack on some chilli peppers. Or whatever the hottest flavor is in BW3's... or what's that place called at the MarqE that's across from Edwards? I believe the hottest flavor for wings there is atom something. Try it.
