He is opening for Dr. Dog. Which means he will play about a 20-25 minute set tops. This track "20 Miles" from his new album (not yet released) is insanely good. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bK1GUVzVxOM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bK1GUVzVxOM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
this show sucked on so many levels. (again). I was upset about My Education coming on as late as they did: 2 hours late, and then only being allowed to play 3 songs? wtf? I'm friends with Brian from My Education, and they were pissed off. That manichien whatever was bizarre, I mean seriously, throwing glitter on the crowd? and glowsticks? if I wanted to go to a rave I'd hit up the orbit room circa 1999. Yppah was just horrible. Inner Lights was good. I only got to see the last song, but I liked it. Just like the last lost in space, this one was poorly planned and even more poorly executed. no more lost in space for me.
Well the first one of these was back in December and I am guessing there will be another one in the fall/winter. It was a fun but one to play.
how was dr. dog?? going to ben folds saturday! oh and got my acl three-day pass, but if the ****ing eagles are headlining, it may be for sale.
They were good. Very bouncy and energetic. "Shadow People" was all that I had heard from them before seeing them last night. The crowd was clearly there for Dr. Dog. During Deer Tick the crowd was sparse, but it packed in when Dr. Dog started. In the middle of their set, McCauley and Ryan of DT went out front of the bar and I went out to talk to them so I missed part of it.

Saw Muse in March at the Toyota Center. Saw Phoenix a week ago at the Verizon Wireless Theater. Going to free press summer fest in a month. Hoping I can go see MGMT on June 7th at the House of Blues, but its sold out and I can't find tickets under 80 dollars. If they ever drop to the 40-50 dollar price range, I might go. Also considering seeing Rush at the Woodlands Pavillion in September.
