    Bill Buckner.

Good career, great guy from all accounts. One booted ground ball branded this man a loser for the rest of his life.

Buckner. He had a very good career & all anyone remembers is the grounder.

Didn't Jansen eventually win a gold medal? If so, how's he a choke artist?

I wouldn't call Slaney getting tripped by Zola Budd a choke, or are you referring to another part of her career?

    The 1993 Houston Oilers.

What was our record, 12-4 or 13-3?

We beat the crap outta the Bills in the last game of the regular season.

    Definitely Buckner.

The flip side of that question: Ian Howfield.

I agree after the e-mail he sent to HPF (Ric ?) I don't think anyone should feel sympathy for him.

Del Greco is a much much better kicker than Howfield.

Of course, I DON'T have any sympathy for the defensive coordinator of the Oilers for that game...

What's the old saying? The only thing a "prevent" defense is good for is to prevent you from winning?

Scott Norwood or Buckner. Two moments that i'd probably commit suicide after if they happened to me. Well...not really. But u know.

Donnie Moore was the California Angels closer in '86. One out away from the World Series (iirc), he gave up a game tying or winning homer to Boston's Dave Henderson. Boston went to the Series & Moore committed suicide a few years later.

Jean Van de Velde - this guy was so close to immortality and let it slip right through his fingers.

How can you have sympathy for that idiot. He brought it all on himself.

It's not so much sympathy for what he almost had, but the fact that he wasn't smart enough to seal the deal. He definitely got what he deserved, I just feel bad for him that he didn't realize what was going to happen to him by taking those risky shots.

I also feel pretty bad for Dave in the Dan vs. Dave hype from the '92 Olympics. Dave choked!
