Marvin Williams was the best player in the game

Bravo to him for having his career playoff game tonight. But the season is more than one game. The Hawks need to dump Marvin Williams and get someone who plays hard, cares and shows up each and every game.

I wonder if the Bucks fans are asking if the Bucks are better without Bogut?

Huh? Have you been watching the Bucks? Salmons defense has been excellent throughout the series.

In Woody's defense, his teams managed to improve each and every season under his watch despite some shaky decision-making from the front office. Case and point being the year after they took the Celtics to seven games. Instead of building upon that success and addressing needs the Hawks merely let Josh Childress (their best bench player at the time by a mile) walk for nothing and replaced him with, well, nobody. Furthermore, Bibby has been absolutely killing this team the past two seasons. Sure, the Hawks took off when they acquired him initially in 07-08 and that trade itself was an absolute no-brainer for Atlanta, but the fact of the matter is he's a dead weight on both ends of the court.

Another example of shaky front office decision-making is the decision to add Crawford (great move) while completely neglecting the rest of the bench. Sure, they brought back Pachulia (homeless man's Andersen Varejao) and added Teague (decent but not ready) but the fact of the matter is their bench is garbage outside of Crawford -- which doesn't bode well for Atlanta given Crawford's hot/cold tendencies.

So again, Woody has succeeded admirably despite some shaky front office moves. Under his watch the Hawks went from a rebuilding project to a playoff underdog to a current playoff favorite. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the latter and the expectations that come along with being favored has this mentally weak group hanging their heads against a vastly inferior opponent. I realize you can direct blame in ANY direction you wish, but in this situation coaching is largely responsible for stopping the free-fall and Woody hasn't been able to do that. The point is only now has Woody's limitations as a coach (along with the other problems you mentioned) became so evident to the point where a change could appear necessary. For Woody's case, the timing could not be worse given that his contract is up at the end of the season.

Imagine if this team had Bogut. Not only would they probably beat Atlanta, they'd probably give Orlando all they can handle as well. Bogut would kill Howard offensively.

Surprised that Milwaukee was able to steal one in Atlanta. It'll be tough for the Hawks to win game 6. Didn't think Milwaukee actually had enough offense to compete against the Hawks.

Bogut was also picking it up on boards and blocks despite the slower start this season. Not that it's common for centers to block from the 3pt line.

Hawks is just disappointing. They have a good team, but they are playing in shambles toward the end of the 1st quarter. They were my team from the east

What the hell is up with all this one-on-one play the Hawks are playing, and Josh Smith dribbling the ball up court?? The Hawks seem scared.
