how long would an interview take?
how long would you study for?

if showing up for an interview is going to ruin your studies... you better rethink how you study... no way you a 2 hour interview is going to be weighed the same as studying all day...

Interview then take a few shots from Starbux and pull an all nighter. Sleep the next day.

you're in trouble... all situations outside of normalcy are deemed bad by corporate minds. You're out of luck.

if horrible planning, procrastination and lack of courtesy are "normalcy", then yes.

Sure. "No call, no show" them. That will allow them to see the future if they hire you.

Seriously - do you really have to ask?

If you want the job don't skip, work around the interview, find somewhere to study nearby. Don't let a good opportunity go to waste, its always a crappy decision.

BTW if 2-3 hours are really going to affect your preparation for an exam you are already screwed, so do the interview. Only skip if you think you will fail the exam without those 2-3 hours.

That would be like telling your future employer that the dog ate your homework.

Is this thread for real?? Skipping a JOB INTERVIEW to study for a test?

If you tell them you are skipping to study for a test then they won't even considering hiring you because they will probably think school will keep you from working at that job long term.

It's not a good look at all.

    Thank you!

Your career services office is probably going to block your access to the system as well as a sign of good faith with the employer that they will not tolerate that behavior.

I will have to go against the grain of opinions. Reschedule the interview and study for the test. You're clearly not ready to get a job at this point and it seems you are trying to procrastinate the interview already.

If you don't know it by now, you already screwed up the class/exam.

Make it to the interview, and take your lumps on the exam.

Go to the interview and if you're really concerned, then talk to the professor.

A job is much more important than a test.

The recruiter kind of baited me I didn't realize I had a test the next day. Any ways I went to it, but I forgot my tie. Luckily it didn't last as long as it was supposed to. Cause the manager was trying to get me talk to some more people, but some of them were unavailable. The recruiter and the manager didn't communicate very well so they will probably try to schedule some other time.

So I pretty much killed a few hours of study time.
