LOL definitely, so wouldn't you think that Deron Williams should be considered "elite" (top 5) or is this just a figment of my swirling imagination? Thanks.

Great way to now when you're wrong is when I give you stats to show he's a top 3 player and your ignoring the obvious.

    That's ignant!

Given what a monster Howard is especially on defense? Heck yeah I think Howard's a way better player than Kobe at this point.

I know this is a reach for me to say, but if Dwight Howard could learn how not to foul every time he makes contact, I think the Magic could win 5 championships in the next 10 years. Thats how important defense out of your big man is in my humble opinion. APBRmetrics would say that Kobe is way overrated.

    The top 5 are easy:

    Lebron James
    Kobe Bryant
    Dwayne Wade
    Kevin Durant
    Dwight Howard

It's too damn hard and argumentative to rank 6-15 unless you do it without regard to who's 6 and so on. Here's my best of the rest, 6-15, without picking them in any order:

    Carmello Anthony
    Steve Nash
    Deron Williams
    Chris Paul
    Brandon Roy
    Joe Johnson
    Tim Duncan
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Chris Bosh
    Yao Ming

    This is my best effort.

carmelo is NOT a top 5 player. deron williams is now officially a top 5 player (you can argue he's a top 3-4 player as he's an all-world offensive player and he's not too shabby defensive player).

derrick rose will be a top 10 player next year. his development has continued from last year. he just needs to get to the line more and imrove his playmaking.

howard and roy have reached their peaks. such a shame b/c both are youn.

my top 15 are (this season + playoffs)
    1) lebron james

    2) dwayne wade
    3) deron williams
    4) kevin durant
    5) kobe bryant - yes, kobe bryant is not a top 3 player anymore. people need to get used to it. the lakers can afford him to have C-level games and still win
    6) dwight howard - his lack of offensive progress is the reason.
    7) chris paul - i think when healthy, he does challenge deron for that top PG spot
    8) dirk
    9) carmelo anthony
    10) steve nash
    11) tim duncan
    12) chris bosh - his stats say for something. im sure if he's on a great team, he will still get his
    13) brandon roy
    14) amare stoudamire
    15) derrick rose - i expect him to be top 10 next year if he continues to develop

Ginobili is a great player and all, but I would take everyone in the Final 6, along with Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Carlos Boozer, and Danny Granger over him.
