Things seem pretty chill around here, who exactly are you referring to?

Well there are a ton of deluge myths out there...I'm not sure if their existence makes each more/less credible...but of course, I think lessons can be drawn from a story without having to believe it literally happened.

THAT IS OFFENSIVE. You guys implies we are all men and excludes the possibility of female participation in this thread. That's derogatory and sexist.

The correct term is ya'll since its gender neutral.

Exactly, it predates the bible and is one of the legends they used from previous cultures.

That being said....I hope it is true, that would be neat.

Honestly, I'm not sure that's terribly important. If they find a man-made wooden structure resembling a boat frozen up at the top of the mountain (and that's a HUGE if, of course), we may not know how it got there, it certainly requires people to re-evaluate how they look at things. How did a bunch of people 5000 years ago (or whenever) get a massive boat on top of a mountain? And why? At this point, a flood would be as good an answer as any.

My question is more along the lines of durvasa's - has anyone outside of this group confirmed this and have any opinions of what it is? And if not, why not?

    Right, but who else would?

Astronomers find planets because they are looking for them too.

He's been throwing that "you guys" around a lot lately.

Probably still trying to console Jerome Solomon in his arms after Morey scolded him over twitter for his lazy journalism.
