Has the internet ever caused problems in your relationship?

In Isabel's ideal world, guys don't need to look at p*rn and can just use their imaginations, like women do. I know it is not the ideal world, and with everything available these days it's impossible for guys not to look at something. So, as much as we'd rather you not, if you have to:

-Don't make it a regular/routine thing.
-Don't do it when you have the alternative available (or when she's around to see it).
-Clear your history and any traces of where you've been.
-Don't pay for it. There are better uses of money.
-Keep it compartmentalized from your real/relationship life. It is a separate thing. Don't expect to end up with women who look or act like what you are seeing.
-Don't use her computer.
and above all,
-Don't "catch anything". Messing around on the wrong sites can give your computer certain, ummm, STD's.

 

Haha, I couldn't resist - it sounded so funny if you read what you wrote...slowly. But yea, Xero explained it well above your post - there are lots of things that guys like to do (like beat off) that women don't understand and aren't really capable understanding.

 

I used to play a lot of online poker few years ago and most of my income came from poker. The best games were at night (When the hordes of US players logged in) and I slept very irregularly and was constantly tired. I had some fights with my girlfriend back then about it and some of the money went to keeping her happy.

I've never had a fight about internet p*rn though. I've found that women are increasingly tolerant of it and even consume it themselves. If I ever had to argue about it, it would probably mean that I'm with a wrong girl anyway. Of course I can understand it becoming a problem if there isn't sex any more and the guy's/girl's p*rn usage has become compulsive.

I will say a couple of gf's ago, she got mad at me for being on this site...she was saying how childish/immature the site was regarding "b*nging" and "I'd hit that" blah blah blah...it didn't last too much longer after that, but I can see where someone can be insecure about something that's not real...

 

I know Im not old. Im still in my 30's. I dont know if Im just a cheapass because even the mags are a waste of cash to me. Dont get me wrong, been there and done that. Funny thing is, the wifey just asked me if I go online and watch p*rn.LOL. I showed her the 'CFF BBS pornstar thread' and she laughed and called me a nerd.

 

Speaking from a guys perspective, I would rather my girl looking at a beef cake online than reminiscing the good ol days of her hottie ex-bf. So do you really want us to use our imagination of our hottest encounters or would you rather us fantasize over a few dirty skanks.

 

Good point, who are prob std ridden anyway! But seriously guys, go to la mode lingerie, top drawer, or even victorias secret... look around and let the lady know what you like, it would probably cut down on any cash spent or time spent on sites if you know that you might come home to a great scenario

 

It got a little complicated when we were sharing a computer and neither of us would budge on the "clutchfans dark" problem, so there were a lot of posts made with the wrong username.

Yeah well she is kinda a bible beater so she took it to heart. I still feel it was a way to get out of the relationship. I never really liked her to begin with.

The only point I would disagree about. I would be worried if JV started looking at sites he was afraid for me to know about. If he can't let me see what he's been up to he probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

 

Its not his fault he doesn't want you to know he's turned on by midgets, koala's and albino alligators.

Isabel, let me say how happy I am that you're posting again. Having said that (and I hope you know I'm very sincere!), I have to break the news to you... girls watch p*rn, too. In fact, although this isn't something I could possibly have first hand knowledge of, many girls like watching p*rn with their significant others. I've been told that the result is quite exciting, although I've also been told that you never finish the flick in one showing.

 

Not me personally, but it has led to the demise of a legendary friendship between 2 guys I know, both of whom happen to post on this very bbs.
