Doesn't the thunder starting lineup have 4/5 guys that started all 82 games together? They were a hell of a lot healthier than last year's Rockets. Go thunder.

It's easy to compare in that they were both huge underdogs. Let's hope this series turns out a bit different than the Rockets-Lakers one though ;)

Eh, what does it matter right now?

We aren't in the playoffs, while the Thunder are.

We couldn't beat the Lakers last year, the Thunder might.

Let's just forget about the past, and root for the Thunder!

This year's Thunder team vs. last year's Rockets minus Yao would have been a great series. The matchup of Battier/Artest and Durant alone is worth the price of admission.

I'd give the edge to Houston because of the Rockets' ability to cover Durant and the advantage of having Scolandry.

Battier and Artest would really give Durant fits.

There would be so many great matchups if this happened.

    Westbrook vs Brooks
    Durant vs Artest / Durant
    Ibaka vs Scola / Landry

I think so. Our last year's squad could easily beat the Thunder in a 7 game series. We had a year younger Artest and a healthy Battier who could easily switch out on Durant.

    Basically, its pick your poison.

If Durant gets hot and start jacking up jumpers, we could switch Battier on him to neutralize him. If Durant starts to act cute and post up, we have a healthy Artest to stop him in the paint.

Brooks and Lowry would neutralize Westbrook and Maynor.

Scola and Landry would have field days against the Thunder and no way Green can lock up Scola. Ibaka reminds me of a less polished Landry on the offensive end. At the defensive end, Ibaka would try to block Landry, but Landry and Ibaka would cancel them out.

Wafer would get hot and put up like 20 points in 10 min.

    Brooks>Westbrook
    Battier> Sefolosha
    Artest< Durant
    Scola> Green
    Hayes> Kristic

Westbrook always seems to be a tough matchup for Brooks, but fortunately we have Lowry to help out.

Green seems to be the kind of athletic big that gives Scola trouble.

I'd say the Rockets would have won but not easily.

We have beaten the Thunder 7 of the last 8 games.

The Rockets are better than the Thunder.

How so? Didn't we get run off the floor in our last meeting? Without Yao we can't exploit their biggest weakness which is their lack of size and while Artest and Shane would try to hold Durant, somewhat, down it sure didn't help us vs Roy last year. As for this season, not saying we wouldn't win a tough 7 game series but considering they made the playoffs and we didn't, it puzzles me how anyone could say we are the better team?

In the last meeting with the Thunder, we didn't have Battier, Hill, and Jeffries. We dominated these guys this season with our full set of guys. We could beat the Thunder in a seven game series with this years Rockets team.

Fair enough and like I said earlier I am not saying I wouldn't pick us in a 7 gamer but how can anyone say we are the better team when we were 8 games behind them in the standings? We would be underdogs, which is perfect for this team and their mentality.

Rockets always seem to matchup well with the Thunder. Thunder matchup well with the Lakers and that is why the series is tied.

Rockets of last year would have beaten the Thunder of this year IMO.

They were definitely more consistent than us by getting more wins. But we match up well with them and that is why were successful against them this year. It would be a great series to watch though, a lot of hustle and heart would be awesome to see from these two teams.
