I can see him as a starter on some teams, and as a 6th man ala Jason Terry on others. He has come a long way, previously I saw him as a bench player despite his talent level.

I think its a borderline all.star, he could get to the all star game once or twice, but maybe he will end up, just a step away.

By the time his career is over, I think Brooks might see 1 or 2 all-star appearances.

He just doesn't have the PG skills that Rondo, Williams, Nash, Billups, and Paul have.

He somehow gets those skills, and he'll be the best PG in the game.

Assuming Brooks is still in Rockets uniform next year, the situation will totallly change. Yao will come back. Martin is not a good defender and we don't have someone can shoot from the bench. So I would like to see Brooks step out from bench, play a role Carl did in the first season of this year, providing bench scores. Lowry will fit better with the starters. That's why I vote bench. But that doesn't mean he will not become an All-star. I think it is not conflicted.

    Really depends.

IMO he will never be an all star with guards like CP3, Deron, Wesbrook, Curry, Evans and the likes in the west.

    Yeah Brooks can start

CP3, Deron, Nash, Billups. Parker. Westrook on the rise, as is Curry but he's on a bad team. Evans is poser PG but they could select him as a PG. All Star unlikely.

Need aging, decline, injury or off years from the group to get other candidates in. Or people simply getting bored of choosing the same people and wanting a fresh face. Or the sympathic BJ Armstrong type selection, like Armstrong having to play "courageous" without Jordan, Brooks having to play courageous without Yao or McGrady (carrying that on into next year).

Agreed. I voted starter, but he is better than a lot of starters out there. But I highly doubt he will make it in the ASG as there are just too many great point guards in the west/"big name point guards" in the west. Guys like paul, williams, parker, billups....are gonna get more votes.

I say he might make it as a backup to the ASG if there were injuries in certain years. Otherwise I would say no to being an All star.

Future all-star, if he spends his off-season in Toyota Center, I can see him having better season than 2009-2010 season.
