This movie completely slipped under my radar. I don't see many movies these days since I have two small kids, but I think I'm going to catch this flick on one of the days the in-laws are watching my children.
Saw this last night. ****ing awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. It's to super hero movies what Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead were to zombie movies.
Hit-Girl will go down as the greatest movie character of all time.. She completely owns every scene she is in...
The trailers for this movie really do not do it justice. So much smarter than it looks. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously, but at the same time, there some are some truly powerful moments in this movie Spoiler kick ass fighting off those 3 thugs in the beginning and big daddy getting burned alive . Easily my favorite movie so far this year and a nice lead in to Iron Man 2 next month.
They should have tweeked the soundtrack just a little bit.. Every song was a rehash of other songs from other movie and it reminded me of Tarantino quite a bit.. Although I think Tarantino uses his music a little better when added in his scenes...
Amazing movie....I remember the other thread and how everyone was saying it was going to be a cheesy B-level movie, boy where you guys wrong.
Adequately sufficed my hankering for some bloody mayhem mixed with impossible feats of human exertion, John Woo style.
I had a hard time taking McLovin seriously. Loved Nic Cage's over the top acting. Perfect for the role.
I'm just glad to see him take the sort of role that made people like him in the first place. None of this "National Treasure" or "Knowing" crap. Only Nicolas Cage could make "that's because I used low-velocity rounds" into a touching and poignant moment.
I loved it!... great movie, Hit Girl was f'ing awesome!! P.S. the chick that fell for kick ass, is f'ing hot! --RB
