I understand the hate for him around here to a point. However, I don't think the comment was anything to write home about. It was a legit point. Over 12 games against PHO w/ the Rockets, McGrady averaged 24 ppg and had games of 38, 34, 39, and 30 against them. I agree with his assessment.

He's gone, people. Let it go.

The only way he's drunk is if he sneaked into his dad's liquor cabinet. The kid's gotta be like 13 years old.

    Here's a bizarro world thought:

Think back to when we traded for him. Who would have thought Juwan Howard would be the last player remaining in the league?

    Steve Francis
    Cuttino Mobley
    Kelvin Cato
    Reece Gaines
    Tyronn Lue

All are out of the league. Only McGrady and Howard remain...

But you gotta remember about that one. What a game! I remember watching it live. And we secured home court with this win.

Not completely true. We had one game in Phoenix where Mac and Yao completely destroyed the Suns in the 4th, and I believe in one of the Mac-Yao years, we beat them 3-1 in the season series. C'mon, people, do your research!!!

We already knew he had no heart, but now I'm starting to wonder if they removed his brain during that microfracture surgery.

The last JVG seasons vs D'Antoni

we only scored 100 points in one of the last 7 games vs the Suns.

    2003: 3-1, Rockets
    2004: 3-1, Suns
    2005: 2-2
    2006: 3-0, Suns
    2007: 3-1, Suns
    2008: 2-2
    2009: 2-1, Rockets

I think "habitually abused" needs to be more than a 4-game edge, including 2006 and 2007 when Yao played no more than 55 games. I think the Sonics can stake claim to having "habitually abused" the Rockets in the early 90s.

OK, OK, the "D'Antoni" Suns- still, McGrady was not the problem in those games, nor against the Spurs.

tmac always put up great numbers, especially in the playoffs. he was never a cancer or considered a cancer in the lockerroom but if you looked at all the hate on this board, youd think he choked a coach or something. injuries happen; the ones that linger makes it hard to do anything.

every player has his own problems. ron artest ran into the stands and punched a fan but id bet more of these 'sheep' posters are willing to back up artest than tmac just because artest is crazy (a type of crazy which happens to appeal to the cameras).

    Biggest mistake:

Not shutting it down during the 22 win streak.

I was talking about the D'Anotoni Suns.
Remember Tmac was happiest with JVG. He wasn't happy with Rick the Ruler.
