    Whether or not he's a good coach (I fall into the camp that thinks he's not), Rivers is smart enough to jump ship before it sinks fast--that is, if he's actually leaving after this season.

    The legendary Rivers will finally be able to coach where he really belongs. In a girl's high school basketball team.

    I hope The Thibs will get the nod.

    i bet if the C's were gona be 2008 championship good for the next 2 to 3 years he'd stay... jus like a coward to duck out once the ship begins to sink

    so when Jordan was going to retire, Jackson left the team, and nobody said Jackson were leaving once the ship is sinking

    I believe Jordan said he'd retire if Phil wasn't coming back.. not the other way around...

    That goes against your similar assertion of Phil Jackson being a prop while Tex Winter's offense is the real creator of the success. If Phil is a puppet while his assistant's philosophy is the actual influence, Rivers can be a puppet to his assistant's philosophy.
