Has that ever happened? If OK beats Memphis in the season final, all 8 western conference teams will have 50 wins.

I think we came close a couple of years ago, but I think the eigth seed won 48 that year.

So, has it ever happened, that all 8 teams have won 50?

I don't know but the Rockets are probably the greatest team in the history of the NBA not to make the playoffs!

OKC will tank the game against the Grizzlies on Wednesday so they will probably not get 50 wins.

In other news, the Eastern Conference hasn't sent 8 teams with winning records to the playoffs since the '04/05 season.

The Rockets will finish with 42 or 43 wins. Phoenix missed the playoffs last year with 46 wins. GS missed the year before that with 48 wins. Minnesota missed in 05 with 44 wins.

So, no the Rockets are not the "greatest" (that word should never be used when discussing a non-playoff team) team in the history of the NBA not to make the playoffs. They're not even the greatest Western conference team to miss the playoffs in the past two seasons.

On top of that, the rockets won 45 games one year in the early 2000s and missed the playoffs, so they aren't even the greatest Rockets team ever to miss the playoffs.

However, it is worth noting that the '81 team that went to the finals only won 40 games, and the '95 championship team only won 46.

The Rockets aren't the greatest team not to make playoffs but they are probably one of the greatest teams with a winning record without an Allstar. You can't take that away from them. There's a lot to be proud about with this team. They fought hard and wouldn't go down without a fight. They had some really impressive wins this year against legit playoff teams. I'm proud to be a Rockets fan...

Milwaukee has a better record this year and didn't have an all-star. And no, Michael Redd, a one-time all-star years ago, playing 27 minutes per game for 18 games does not count as having an all-star.
