When Rudy T. went overseas to scout nachbar, he also cought up with Mirsad Turckan. In the Rockets section of the real gm website they mention turckan wants another shot in the NBA. Where in the world will Mirsad Turckan end up?

I don't think he'll end up with the Rockets because of our glut at sf and pf but I think he's got skills and deserves to have another shot at the NBA. I remember reading an article on him and he's another one of those Euro players who can basicaly do anything. It's too bad we waisted our pick a few years ago on him though, especially when we could've taken Lewis.

we sure as hell dont need him.

he is a hard enough worker to find the bench on someones team.

I remember before we drafted him, during his work out for us he hit 23 out of 25 3's, then went to Denver to workout and hit 25 for 25. The story on him was tenacious defender/rebounder and terrific shooter. I wonder where he would have gone during this year's draft given that Euros have become en vouge?

Also, the people that bash us for not taking Lewis instead have to remember we did not keep this guy when we signed Pippen. We could not afford 3 guarenteed rookie contracts. Chances are Lewis would have been cut too. Back then HSers were as popular. You had Bryant, but he really did not do anything for his first few years and Garnett. You also had busts like Korleone Young. At that time we had to take Pippen given the make up of the team.

He got only 1 point and 6 rebounds in a game against China. His chances don't look good to make a comeback in the NBA,but who knows someone might give him another try,but I don't think the Rockets will want him back.

I remember Clutch's write-ups on that draft. "Where did the Rox find this guy? He looks like an evil Doogie Hawser." LOL at the time.

That was a half-great, half-botched draft. Wasted picks on Drew and Doogie. Got Cat in the 2nd round. Traded Dickerson + Othella my Fella for Steve.

Didn't we end up trading rights to the first round busts in that draft? Traded Drew to Chicago and didn't Mirsad's rights get traded to Detroit or something like that?
