    Ok, so Im lost now. (no pun intended) I thought Desmond was brought back to the island because he's the constant. But now he's dead on island but the constant in the alternate reality mode. I can see how he will tie in to what looks to be the unification of the Island and Alternate reality from the alternate side, but how can he (being the constant) do so if he's dead now on the island?!?

    I think I confused myself typing that mess. I need a beer...

    If you watched the little preview after the episode you'd see that desmond isnt dead.

    Um, the preview showed him sitting at the bottom of the well a couple of times, once with Sayid looking down on him.

    I kinda think the two desmond's switched places last week. Something's going on, that may not be it . . . just my pea brain trying to make sense of it all.
