    Part 7:

    Castor 7/9 = 14 pts
    Heath 6/9 = 12 pts
    Pued 6/9 = 12 pts
    Zac 5/9 = 10 pts
    deve 5/9 = 10 pts
    DV 5/9 = 10 pts
    SF3 5/9 = 10 pts
    Cat 5/9 = 10 pts
    nomar 4/9 = 8 pts
    haven 4/9 = 8 pts

    Back to the copying issue:

Should we deduct pts for copying (not for being similar to others, but a copy of part of their predictions). This was suggested by Castor when he made his prediction. He copied the prediction I had at the time and did his prediction for part 1-4 leaving part 5-7 identical to mine. And he said that he had no objections being deducted a few points for not taking the time to do those parts. (Notice how Castor "won" part 7 after I edited out Joe Boyle from my assist prediction)

    The other guilty copy-cats:

haven - did a copy of my early prediction when I had not done part 4. (haven then did changes for part 1 and 2, possibly also 3 as it is such a small task, but it came out the same as mine). Part 5-7 was left unchanged.

deve copied Zac, and did his editing for the early parts too. I think that is all that has copied others without trying to do the part their self. If there are others that feel copied, just let me know, either here or in chat.

    Options:
    1. Dont do anything
    2. Deduct those who copied on a part to part level
    3. Deduct those who copied a set value
    4. Deduct those who copied and give bonus to the original (Pued's suggestion in chat)

    Opinions?

    10) Devestata .: 71 (15 + 15 + 8 + 5 + 18 + 10)

    (part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5/6, 7)

Remaining parts now is for Pued to do the adjustments, and for us to choose a player to distrubute these points for.

Now I need to create a cost system that sees to that this have the effect it was meant to have.

    None. :p

    just kidding :D

This is how we will distrubute prediction points this year:

    Attribute increase:

Cost table of changing attributes +/- 1:

    Morale: 1

    Accelration: 1
    Aggression: 1
    Agility: 1
    Anticipation: 2
    Balance: 1
    Bravery: 1
    Consistency: 3
    Corners: 3
    Crossing: 2
    Decision: 2
    Dirtiness: 3
    Dribbling: 2
    Finishing: 2
    Flair: 2
    Free kicks: 3
    Handling: 2
    Heading: 2
    Influence: 1
    Injury Prone: 3
    Jumping: 1
    Leadership: 3
    Left Foot: 2
    Long Shots: 2
    Marking: 1
    Movement: 3
    Nat. Fitness: 3
    One on One: 3
    Pace: 2
    Passing: 2
    Penalties: 3
    Positioning: 1
    Reflexes: 2
    Right Foot: 2
    Stamina: 1
    Strength: 1
    Tackling: 2
    Team Work: 2
    Technique: 2
    Throw Ins: 3
    Versatility: 3
    Vision: 3
    Work Rate: 1

    Adaptability: 3
    Ambition: 3
    Determination: 2
    Loyalty: 3
    Pressure: 3
    Professionalism: 3
    Sportsmanship: 3
    Temperament: 3

    Additional cost (cumulative):
Increase an attribute above 10 (11-15): 1 extra point each
Increase an attribute above 15 (16-20): 2 extra point each
Increase an attribute by 5 or more points: 1 extra point each

*) as you do not know the value of a hidden attribute - no standard additionals here. But when you increase beyond 3 you will be priced 1 addidtional point pr increase. Also if you should reach max before you use up what you have assigned, the left over points can be used to something else - be sure to add an alternative: "If I have any points over increase..."

I might not be able to increase some of the hidden values as I'm not yet confident in how the values translate when they are not given on a 1-20 scale. Also as we discovered when we did upgrades last year. Some attributes hit a roof at one point and would not increase above this level. This MIGHT be due to the players ability level

Also if you want to increase a player that is previously increased in prediction challenges the cost for improving that player will increase 50%. Due to this being a steep price to pay I will allow to use only part of the points for 1 player, and give the opportunity to open up a 2nd player to improve at a cost (If you choose you can still give 1 player all the points).

    Improving another player: 15 pts

    Ability increase:

    Current ability: 3 pts per
    Potential ability: 2 pts per

    max allowed increase: 25

    Increase ability/potential 15-20: 1 extra pt each
    Increase ability/potential 21-25: 2 extra pts each

So who do you consider updating? Just give me a hint, and a screen could be on the way! :)

I will be doing the player upgrades tomorrow.

    btw SF3

handling and agility = goalkeeping attributes, no need to increase those for Castaldo, atleast not handling as all outfielders have handling = 1, maybe agilty is useful for something else too as all outfielders have values in it.

    For all:

The complicated way to calculate how much points is used to increase an attribute might be easier if you use this formula:

Say you want to increase an attribute from 8 to 18:

Part 1: Check the attribute cost and multiply it with how many steps you improve. Lets say the attribute cost is 2. Improving from 8 to 18 is 10 steps, so 2*10= 20 pts

Part 2: Add (if needed) extra cost for increasing in the 11-15 range. Here it is needed as you increase in that range. The extra cost is 1, and you increase in this example 5 steps, so 1*5= 5 pts

Part 3: Add (if needed) extra cost for increasing in the 16-20 range. Here you increase 3 steps in that range, multiply that with the extra cost of 2 and you have: 2*3 = 6 pts

Part 4: Add (if needed) extra cost for increasing an attribute more than 4 steps. Here you increase 10 steps, so the extra 6 steps cost 1 each: 10-4= 6 pts

Total cost for the attribute: Add together all parts

    (2*10)+(1*5)+(2*3)+(10-4)= 37 pts

This is how it works, and I guess it is easier explained this way. :)

(hidden attributes is much easier as it does not have extra cost part 2 & 3 since you do not know the values you increase in, but the extra cost for part 4 kick in 1 step earlier)

    10+6+3= 19 points

    Joe "B.A.M.F." Boyle.

    Decisions : 9-15(14) + 1 + 5 = 19.
    Work Rate : 6-12(6) + 1 + 2 = 10.
    Positioning : 5-14(9) +4 + 4 = 18.

    Current Ability : + 9 = 27
    Potential Ability : + 3 = 6

    19 + 10 + 18 + 27 + 6 = 80.
