Will someone with access please post the top 3 rumors on the NBA rumors page. The toip one should be the case for Demarcus Cousins as the #1 pick, followed by the rockets summer and a mention of Scola. Just curious as to what this has to say.

    The Rockets' summer

The Houston Rockets aren't usually mentioned as a destination for top-tier free agents this summer. And that's for good reason: the cap space isn't there to sign a max guy.

But that doesn't mean the Rockets won't be players this summer, as they have some guys that could be used in a sign-and-trade at their disposal.

"Sources close to Houston's thinking say simply playing the status quo and waiting for Yao Ming to return is not nearly enough and Houston will get involved with some of the major free agents," writes Steve Kyler of HOOPSWORLD.

He continues: "Those same sources said it's not out of the question Trevor Ariza or even recently acquired Kevin Martin could be included in a sign-and-trade deal if it were to land them Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire."

Remember: Bosh is a Texas native, and has said he doesn't want to play second banana to anyone. He'd likely become The Man in Houston, unlike if he went to Miami and played with Dwyane Wade.

But there's another Texas team, the Mavericks, that will also have some chips for a sign-and-trade, starting with Erick Dampier's contract, and they could be in the mix for Bosh as well.

Luis Scola | Rockets Top Email

Since Carl Landry was traded to the Kings this season, Luis Scola has seen more playing time. And he's unleashed on opponents.

In March, Scola averaged an impressive 20.6 points and 10.5 board a game. So far this month, Scola is posting similar averages: 20.8 points and 6.3 rebounds a game.

Scola will become a restricted free agent at the end of the season, and we've surmised that his increased production could make him an attractive get for teams with money that don't land one of the top-tier free agents.

But Rocket GM Daryl Morey told the Houston Chronicle that Scola will be back with the Rockets next season.

"He will be back," Morey told the paper. "[Owner Leslie Alexander] gave us the resources and said whatever it takes. He's back."

As ESPN's Chris Sheridan wrote earlier this week, Scola will be a nice pair with Yao Ming next season.

    Chris Sheridan
Yao and Scola make good duo
"I believe they will pay or even overpay to keep him as long as Yao Ming does not opt out. As good as he has been this year, he is a much bigger asset as a complimentary low-post/high post option next to Yao."

    Thanks man.

Kevin Martin in a Sign in Trade??? REALLY?? I can understand Ariza, but not Martin at all. That's strange he would mention that. Probably just making it up.
