Too bad the location is ****. I used to go fox sports grill with coworkers to watch world cup games a few years back when I worked nearby. But that place is in a god damn corner that no one goes to. I dont know why anyone would run anything over there. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Used to eat there for lunch and it NEVER had a crowd. Hopefully it works out for Horry.

It won't work out for Horry. Athlete's and restaurants rarely work out.

Fox Sports Grille always seemed to have a nice crowd when I watched games there in the evening. It wasn't my favorite place (too pricey for the same beers as everyplace), but I never got the feeling it was in danger of closing. I heard that all Fox Sports Grille locations closed, not just the one in Houston.

Most of the patrons I saw in there weren't shopping at the mall-- they came specifically to Fox. What I did like was that it was a pretty diverse crowd. There are a lot of sports bars around town that are full of more crackers than a basket on the table at Papadeaux.

Yeah all of us used to walk there from the Air Liquide offices next door to watch games. In spite of its location it is the closest place. you'd see a lot of people from the offices around there stop by.

I also don't understand how businesses on that side of the Galleria manage to stay open. The mini food court over there must cater only to employees at the surrounding stores. Except for that Mrs. Fields' Cookies. That place is awesome.

Yep, but that's more the exception than the rule. It is a complete pain in the ass if you're going west on westheimer and trying to turn left into that part of the galleria.

Kona Grill is awesome enough to overcome all.....

Ya if I am doing all that work to get to Horry's place I might as well just go to Kona.

Esp if it's during happy hour. Fox Sports Grill didn't really run any specials.

I liked their food though and it was a better place to catch a game for sure.

Why do so many celebrities seem to want to open restaurants? I understand that a retired athlete shouldn't want to sit on the couch and do nothing, but a sports bar seems like such a quick way to blow through lots of your fortune.
