Just out of curiosity,if Blake Griffen did not enter the draft last year, putting Griffen's injury issue into consideration, who would be the #1 pick this year?

and where would Jordan Hill be ranked in 2010 draft? is he a better prospect than guys like Cole Aldrich, ed davis, Greg Monroe,Hassan Whiteside, Donatas Motiejunas...

Griffin #1. Blake Griffin is in a whole other class from everyone else. If anybody has the chance to break the Clippers curse .... it's Griffin. Injury and all this guys the real deal. He's going to be the best PF for many years ahead. I'd say it's a lock for him to win rookie of the year next year.

It doesn't get much better than Jordan Hill in terms of the term prospect. Young, good size, athletic, natural skill etc. The rest of the intangibles are on him. Things like work ethic, drive, desire etc. He was a lottery pick because he was/is a great prospect. After watching him this year I'd say his true value is around 18-24.

I'm envious the Spurs made out with Dejuan Blair with the 37th pick. He performed like what a true lottery pick should perform like and he's going to be damn good for many years to come.

I think Wall would be picked ahead of Griffin.

The sad part is, Griffin suffered a knee injury. You don't want that, especially when you're still around 21.

Griffin has some freakish athletism for his height, which made him a dominant player. This injury might put off a bit. Afterall, many players don't come back the same with knee injuries, at least not in terms of speed and hops.

Griffin won't be eligible for ROY, technically it'll be his second year.

I agree about Blair and Taj Gibson was good enough to send Tyrus Thomas packing from the Bulls.

I think you have it right with Hill if last years draft could be done over Hill would be a lower 1st round pick and not #8. I also think it will take him longer to reach his potential than most here think because he was a late bloomer and needs work on fundamental building blocks like ball handling and dribbling as well as refining his post game.

Yes he will. He hasn't played a single game in the NBA yet.

I don't know if I agree with you on this. Looking through the list of players drafted below Hill, no one except Brandon Jennings and Darren Collison really stands out as a guy that would move up if the draft were done over.

Chase? Cassipi? Blair? Jerebko? Thornton? Holliday?

I see quite a few guys, and I do believe Hill would have fallen to the late teens like Morey said they viewed him.

IMO Griffin would've gone 5th behind Wall, Turner, Cousins & Favors all of which show as much, if not more talent than Griffin ...

Plus, things that would hurt Griffin in this draft would be his measurements, the guy did measure at 6'8.5 with a 6'11 wingspan, with a mediocre 8'9 standing reach ... pretty big disappointment after being listed at 6'10 in college ...

P.S. on Jordan Hill, I think he would go around where Ekpe Udoh would go, which is around 12-18th pick...

Griffin would still be number 1.

Now THAT guy is one I would love to have on the Rockets....

none of those guys would be taken ahead of Jordan Hill. HIll would have dropped a couple spots, maybe to 11 or 12 with Jennings, Collision and maybe someone else moving up.

The better question is where would Chase have gone now....if you re-did the draft, would Chase be top 10? top 5, top 15?

    What?

Top 15. You'd still have teams taking Raw players like Hill, Daye, Thabeet because of potential upside.

I agree on Hill, disagree on Griffin.

How would he not be a top 3 lock? The guy was beastly in college.

I think it would depend on the team that gets the lucky ping pong balls. If a sqaud that has a point and need a PF then Griffin is their guy but if they have bigs but lack the floor general Wall would be the choice.

Hill has the size and athleticism to still be at the very least a top 15 pick since he was chosen to high last year. If Chase would be in this year's draft knowing, what we know now, then he would be top 15.

Wall #1, Griffin #2, the NBA is a copycat league, people see how the Bulls did with picking Rose ahead of Beasley and will follow suit. Of course if New Orleans or Utah got the first pick they would go with Griffin 1st.

I'm not going to speculate on Hill, obviously he'd be lower, there are lots of good big men in the draft.

I don't think you have ever seen as much as a highlight of Griffin.
Players w/ "Can't Miss HOFer" tags don't go 5th in the draft.
Cousins (Al Jefferson) and Favors (McDyess/Hortford) over Griffin (Karl Malone)?

Griffin is super explosive, and plays above the rim at all times.
Dom't let the 35.5 inch vert on draftexpress fool you, he was still recovering from an injury when the combine took place and everyone knew it too.
