    Anyone find this tweet interesting?

"Gr8 shots tonight.AB/KL/KM set up teammates well.Won trans pts 52-40.Lift from JJ/JH/CH on boards.33 FTA-excited for KM/KL/Yao combo next yr"

    As copied from http://twitter.com/dmorey

Now here he is talking about great combo with Brooks/Lowery/Martin then you go to the end - he says he is excited about the Martin/Lowery/Yao combo next year? No Brooks? Does this mean that Brooks will probably be moved off season? I just found this an interesting tweet.

Please close or move if this has already been discussed..

    FTA is the keyword.

He's talking about free throws...Lowry, Martin, and Yao will be our top 3 free throw earners.

Yeah, Morey's talking about the guys who get to the charity strip consistently. Next season we'll win a ton of games on the free throw differential alone.

Srsly you gather that from his tweet? He is just excited to see that lineup, you are putting too much into what he said. Brooks is not going anywhere, they need both. Brooks and Lowry are deadly bc they compliment each other so well.

I think he meant their abilty to draw fouls and put pressure on the other team. Brooks isn't the foul magnet Kev, KLow and Yao can be but simply in that respect.

If Yao gets healthy, the Rockets are probably gonna have some of the longest games next season due to the amount of FTAs.

Yes, interesting. Total *speculation*, but I see what you're saying about AB.

I think of it the same way I thought about Mike James (not comparing him to AB though): there are only so many shots to go around. Yao always got around 13; those 13 will have to come from AB or Martin, basically. Maybe they all come from AB.

(Mike James shot more shots per minute than Yao.)

No Scola? Does this mean that Scola will probably be moved off season?

first ab is not untouchable. i remember les talked on tv in one of games after the km trade. he mentioned rox needs one more star to be a contender next year. if morey somehow gets one and the trade partner insists ab in the trade, i won't be surprized to see ab gone

Man, he isn't letting Lowry go! It makes me happy that Morey will do everything in his power to keep Lowry a Rocket. That's definitely very comforting considering the crappy years we had to endure at the PG position after K. Smith/Cassell.

Context is everything. I missed the reference to free throw attempts. Was a bit worried at the no AB/Scola mention.

I mean seriously - Kevin Martin pretty much picks up the scoring load that Brooks was providing for us. So once Yao returns then you have Yao who is going to demand the ball, along with Kevin Martin who is also a scorer. And KM and Yao are both starters - we all know that KL desire to be a starter. So I dont think for a minute that Morey will let KL go somewhere during the off season. I might be reading this wrong - but the scoring has to be split somewhere. Brooks is a scoring point guard - KL is not. So who knows - but as they said - changes were coming in the offseason. I do see JH as the PF of the Rockets future - he has the height, the length and I think he will truly benefit having Yao next to him next year. The only people I see untouchable next year are Yao, Martin, Hill, Lowry - not so sure about the others.

Then again it is just my view - not necessarily mean that I am right - just my opinion.

Additionally, we must prepare for the nights of poor officiating, which will negate this advantage.

I saw this tweet last night and immediately knew this thread would pop up "OMG BROOKS NOT PART OF FUTURE?"

Morey is dreaming of free throw advantages.

Plus Morey never tips his hand. It would be completely uncharacteristic of him to signal a move.

Are you that dense to think by not mentioning someone in a tweet means that are not in the Rocket's future? Who else did he not mention in that tweet? We are not even going to have enough players for a starting lineup...

Jeezus, stop bashing the OP
I thought it was nice enough for someone to bring this up even though he may have missed it in context. Very interesting tweet by D. Morey nonetheless.

DM has stated several times that Yao becomes much more dangerous as an offensive weapon, once the other team is in the penalty.

Therefore, one of his primary goals was to surround Yao with players that will help get the other team into the penalty situation as early as possible in the fourth quarter.
