    I guess I'll never be flying with Spirit Airlines. I avoid checking bags and usually fit everything into a carry-on sized case.

    Heard about this and I bet you if Spirit does reasonably well with this American Airlines will be one of the first big airlines to do it too.

    They had this on the local, Minneapolis, news last night but I've never heard of these guys. I don't plan on flying them anytime soon.

    This needs to be done. The abuse of the carry-on baggage is ridiculous, although with the fees most places charge for checking baggage, I can't really blame anyone for trying to get away with it.
