lets here your choices for the ROY award.

    ming
    williams
    dunleavy
    gooden
    tskitishvili
    wagner
    hilario
    wilcox
    stoudamire
    butler
    jeffries
    ely
    haislip
    other

i think it will come down to wagner and williams. they will be the iverson and marbury of the 2002 class. this time the "true" point guard will get the edge. williams takes it in a close one.

It will be either Jay Williams or Caron Butler.
Both are high profile players in roles ideally suited for them.
You could say the same thing for Ming but it'd be a long shot for him due to the period of adjustment on and off court.

Pick 'em: Jay Williams, Nikoloz Tskitshvili, or DaJuan Wagner.

My personal pick is Skita; he'll have every opportunity to score and run the show in Denver as the more polished offensive weapon between he and Hilario. Besides, who else does Denver have that can make an impact? Juwan Howard is the closest, but where does he play, center?

My choice would be Williams or Wagner as well. The main reasons are they will like Gasol of last year: they will "lead" their teams. Therefor they would get the bulk of the shots. Both could probably average 20 pts because of their quickness and skill. Some of the other rookies, especially our own, will only be pieces to the team this year. If Yao averaged 22 shots per game, he may get ROY, but our team would probably be doing bad. If the other two did this, there team may be doing better. If it came down to Jay and Wagner, I'd give it to Jay since I think he could do more than Wagner.

The way things have been going the last 2 years i don't know. I think it will be a unexpected person i mean. look at the last 2 years top rookies.

    00
    Miller
    M. Jackson

    01
    Gasol
    Tinsley
    Parker
    Kirilenko.

I don't know who will win this year. its a throw up.

I dunno..... probably Gooden. He played like a man possessed in the summer league. Had a game or two over 27 pts. with a dozen plus boards.

Wagner'll shoot 3 for 30 most of the time, the big guy in Denver (Hilario?) could have a nice table set for him to put up some big numbers.....

Who knows, the Merciless Ming might amaze some people with solid numbers, kind of the way Brand did a couple of years ago.

    Anyone's guess.

    Next topic please.
