They will probably just waive Hilton Armstrong to make room for Johnson.

Rockets take tanking to a new low by signing d-league free agents into the rotation to "tryout". LOL! Go Morey Go!

I mis-read and thought Joe Alexander was coming to Houston. Got excited for the wrong reason. :(

Well, he's tearing up the D-League.

On another thread, the conversation centers around how a player will improve beyond his rookie year. This guy could very well be about to get it all together.

Or not. It's worth a shot.

I remember when he played for Memphis. He rebounded and finished around the basket quite nicely, and brought some energy while he was on the court. He is pretty athletic too.
I don't how he did after that short stint.

    Hmmmm. Interesting if true.

I actually think waiving Armstrong will hamper the Rockets' from a trade flexibility standpoint. If Morey needs salary filler to complete a large trade this summer, they could sign-and-trade Armstrong for up to $3.36M without having to deal with any Base Year Compensation issues. But not if they waive him.

Maybe, they don't feel anyone will be interested in him,but I see your point as well.
