Gasol and Odom aren't on the downside of their careers.... what are you talking about?

Later his stats may not justify the money, but at least it will keep butts in the seats.

The Lakers are in full winning mode now, but what go up must come down. I wouldn't be the least surprised if in 20 years I'm trying to explain to my son the Lakers were a good team when I was his age, that they weren't always a team struggling to get 20 wins...

LeBron won't qualify for 30+ mil, there are salary rules.

It will be painful for the Lakers to be paying this guy $30 million in three years when he his PPG will be around 20 and he is getting eaten alive on defense. I guess the Lakers have no choice but you can see Kobe declining already and the downhill slide will only get steeper over the next few years.

They won't have any cap regardless of Kobe earning 20M or 30M or 10M. So it's all about how much luxury tax Buss is willing to pay.

They have the same capability salary cap wise.

Really? I mean he should be declining but I honestly do not see it just yet. Is it just a standard opinion that once you are 30 you start going down hill? I'm no Kobe fan by a long shot, but his conditioning should mean he still has a few superstar years left in him.
