    I'm calling it.

    Kolb makes the Pro Bowl.

    Doubt me?

Brees, Zombie Favre, Romo, Rodgers, and McNabb.

    That's his competition.

Eagles will throw the ball 50 times a game.

They'll likely take 2 backups to the Pro Bowl.

    He's going.

    I can see it.

Him and Jackson connecting time after time.

He's got a chance in the NFC, but he strikes me as a big of a gunslinger, I think he might get 25 TDs but might throw 18-21 picks just because the Eagles won't have the run game they had in the past with Westbrook.

This is the most talented the Eagles have ever been at the skill positions.

It's a new car basically and Kolb has the keys.

    Go get em, Karl.

Not a bad forecast. If the Eagles hit a good draft (#24 pick, two 2nds, one 3rd, two 4ths...) they could possibly have 4-5 competent new starters (I'd definitely try to trade up for a third 2nd or at least another 3rd) alongside Kolb. That's not shabby. They've got a very nice young receiving corps, McCoy looks fine as a feature back, Vick *may* be able to alleviate some pressure rotating in, etc. I think their pass protection could improve, but beyond that, he seems to be stepping into a good situation.

It only makes sense... somebody was going to give Kolb a shot to start if Philly didn't commit. Who in their right mind would have re-upped to be a backup in that situation.

Big deal about nothing, IMO. It was within minutes of the trade. The Redskins have sucked for years with Cambpell at QB, so it's not like they owed it to him to tell him they were giving away his starting job before it actually happened.

Now if they haven't/hadn't communicated at all since the trade was announced, I'd consider that poor professionalism.

    Professional courtesy, imo.

If you hear from the kid in the mailroom at your job that your boss hired your replacement, you'd be pretty pissed.

True but this is Dan Synder we are talking about, same guy who talked to his coach to be while the then current coach was sitting at the same table.

My friend thinks that if the Eagles keep Vick, he'll be starting several weeks into the season over Kolb.

If I had been mediocre at best and not produced any results, it wouldn't be too surprising. I might still be pissed, but it was my own doing.

*I do realize that's a very general statement and a lot of his struggles had to do with constantly changing coaches and poor surrounding talent, but I guess that's the way the chips fall sometimes.

Come on, you know that isn't a fair comparison.

Maybe, but there really isn't any comparison between any of our jobs versus a pro athlete, much less a QB of an NFL team.

Not saying the Skins were right in not telling him first, but nobody should act like it's a crime that he wasn't told before the trade went down. For all we know, they called him or his agent 10 minutes after the reporter talked to him. This is just one reporter trying to open a can of worms when we don't know all the details.
