If Fizer could be half the player Big Sexy was, I'll take him!

We need some meat in the post and I don't mean Brian Grant!

Haven, Fizer is a better scorer than Swift (in fact hands down the best scorer of any post player coming out), overall a better shooter (much higher FT & 3%'s), stroger than the others, and has better offensive floor sense-- or in other words an understanding of floor spaceing and movement oh himself and other players (this is subjective evaluation from my part of course). Thus there are plenty of reasons to think Fizer will be the best PF in the draft, and I think he is no more likely to be a bust than K-Mart (IMO neither will bust, rather both will be good players). That said, IMO-considering size, athleticism, offense and defense, Swift has the best potential (if I had the top pick I would take him), with Martin or Fizer next.

Bark is the greatest power forward of all time, there will never be another or someone better than him.

Errr... conceded. I suppose I meant it in terms of potential...

Dean: would you *really* say Barkley was better than Malone? I hate Malone and like Barkley, but I' give Malone the nod there.

IMO, Charles in his peak was the most dominating power forward I have seen. He could single handly blow up a defense (not saying he is a the overall better player than Dream, but possibly on offense he could be considered an equal or more dominant player) better than any other player in his era other than Jordon (Hakeem and Malone needed ball dumped to them, Seattle showed how you can stop Dream with illegal defenses that didn't work against Chuck). Pettit (I think it is Pettit) is considered my many as the best ever, though I have not seen him play. Malone has been great too, but always had the PG to set him up and Duncan showed last year he could get done what Karl never could. Duncan may surplant all of them in my mind because of a combination of offensive and defensive potential, but he has more to prove and may become a center anyway.

If Charles was being drafted right now there is no way he wouldn't be drafted #1 (a absolute no-brainer ahead of K-Mart & Swift too), now if there was a Shaq or Duncan in the draft it could be another story but there isn't a sure fire all-star like that in the draft. There is no way Fizer will be as good as him, but I still think Fizer will be a very good player.

Even now, Barkley would still kick Fizer's butt.

Bum leg, beer belly, and all.

First off, Fizer is 6'9" in sneakers. He is a bull in the lane, and has a great sense of how to play the game.

I am not sold on Swift, yes he is a nice player, but when they are this young, you just never know how they will handle the pressures of the NBA.

Fizer shows me more maturity, and he has that one intangible that we have barely touched on, his will.

He has the ability to bend other teams wills to his, one NBA exec said he is the only player coming out that will demand a double team.

I would trade Cato or KT in a heartbeat if we could get Fizer. He would make us an instant threat in the west.

I like Fizer, but c'mon, will anyone ever be like Charles? The man had the drive and will to dominate in the land of the giants, I don't know what kind of attitude Fizer will bring with his talent.

Sure... and plenty of people have average more points at the 2guard than MJ... does that mean they're more likely to succeed... of course not.

Dakota: WHY!?!??! I understand why some people think Fizer will be a good player (I think he'll flop), but the best player in the draft? He's not as athletic, has a poorer shot, and is shorter than Swift. Now, why exactly is he a better player?
