From ESPN's Andy Katz Johnson earmarked for Atlanta, Houston or Orlando: The early buzz on DerMarr Johnson is he's ticketed for either No. 5 (Orlando), No. 6 (Atlanta) or No. 9 (Houston). Cleveland might not be the best fit for Johnson, but the Cavaliers could still take him at No. 8 if he's on the board and then trade him. Houston covets Johnson, but there's no guarantee he'll be available. The best-case scenario for a Johnson to Houston match has Miles going to Orlando at No. 5, Atlanta taking Miller at No. 6, Alexander going to the Bulls at No. 7 and Przybilla to the Cavaliers at No. 8. That would leave Johnson for the Rockets. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
I personally see Magic taking Pryzbilla (or Mihm) at 5, Atlanta taking Miller, Chicago taking Miles, Cleveland taking Iakovos. Imagine if Chicago took Alexander instead of Miles, and we had a choice of Dermarr AND Miles.....yummy. Worst case scenario-we're left with a choice of Alexander, Big Russian, Moiso, and Oyedeji. In this case we take the French and Lefty omen, and nab Moiso. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better.
If the right people were still on the draft board when the Rockets picked at #9, what would be a fair offer to Orlando for the following pick? Mango ------------------ Live long and prosper. Donate blood! Smeg will be assimilated. Now...back to updating The Serious Police Files.
Mango-who are the right people? Moiso and Dermarr and/or Miles? I've been pondering that question. It'd start with the pick they owe us, that much is a given. Then taking a guy off their hands. Then another pick and/or cheap talent (Drew? KT?) ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better.
I'm really hype about the Rockets being able to land Demarr Johnson. A 6-9 wirey stature - if he's really 6-9 - would be a perfect fit for a helter-skelter type offense-defense. The only concern I would have is his ability to set a solid pick, which is a must, with our guard oriented offense. Whoever the Rockets choose, he must be tall, if they intend to keep him, 6-9 being the minimum. ------------------
