I kinda am. I'm more of a basketball game fan, and RPG fan, but Madden has been my favorite football series IMO. In fact, I saw a poll on ESPN NEWS where the question was what comes to mnd when you hear John Madden? Here were the results: NFL Coach 11% NFL Commentator 50% Video Games 39%
I'll probably rent it for the PS2.(I don't buy many games.) I've played a lot of people where I live in the past 2 games, and won every one. Then again, most of them knew nothing about football. I'll pass on your offer though. (I probably am really bad compared to the guys who own them.)
Jello - I have only seen one date - August 15th (next Thursday) - according to Amazon and BestBuy. But I have heard August 13th also... I am probably gonna buy it on XBOX.
You are in the minority there I would think. As for Madden, The All-Madden level is really hard. How do some players play good on that level. Man. As for NBA LIVE 2002, i hope that can be played online, that way i can do some ass kicking too.
The game comes out next Wednesday (14th). The game ships on the 13th, but stores sell it on the 14th. Coma, im sorry, but i disagree. Madden is the most complete game out there. I like franchise mode, so that is where Madden takes the cake. In other aspects 2k3 is better.
Sega Sports doesn't have physics. Its just arcade. Their new franchise mode is better than Madden's, but the gameplay is just horrid in comparison.
NFL 2k3 has better graphics and gameplay this year. The game just isnt as deep as maddens. Plus, I have always played Madden, so i will stick with it.
I'm sorry, but for me it never got better than Madden 93 on Sega. Never have I had more fun playing a video game than when I and my '85 Bears faced off against my best friend and his '72 Dolphins. I know graphics and gameplay improved greatly since then, but that game was so different than any I had played before. I miss those times.
No, if you want online play for football, you gotta go with NFL2k3. Htownhero, Im with you all the way on that one. The '85 bears kicked ass. I actually played with the oilers a lot. Bubba McDowell was the safety. I would blitz with him all the time. Man, that game is a classic. Also, EA sports decided to release the game one day earlier. It is now going to be in stores on the 13th.
I'm a huge fan of Madden, but don't have a memory card for my PS2. If I buy one, could I then "unlock" teams like the 93 Oilers? Could I also "unlock" stadiums like the Astrodome? This has been killing me because all I play are exhibition games with the same old teams...
There are mini games within the game. As you accomplish certain feats, the game unlocks teams and stadiums for you. Im not sure if the 93 Oilers are on there, but it could be a possibility.
That is correct. Although, its not too bad, NFL 2K3 will be a really good game. Im just a Madden Man.
