Just as well, I've been only looking for ANY relevant info for the past hour, even was looking for Joey's official twitter (although that would be kinda of an awkward tweet, "Sup everybody, I got cut!")

So basically, the Kings team is depleted of leadership, Joey Dorsey was a danger of influencing others?

Sacramento isnt THAT close to Mexico. Well, it was a good NBA career, Joey D. There's always China.

You have to be REALLY clownish in the NBA to get called out for that.

    (yes making it Rockets related)

I do wonder if Dorsey was cut before the Rockets called up Mike Harris if they'da brought him back in for a look. But I'm doubting it...

Could he go back to the Vipers if all fails?

Its kinda sad, he has height & can rebound, but not the iq. If anyone goes on fb, I was looking @ the Kings page, and even though he barely played there, the fans are mad, and complaining that all they got for Kevin Martin was Carl Landry. I'm starting to think fans of California basketball teams are just unhappy people.

Dorsey's physical tools are underrated, actually, because he's only 6'7" people assume they must be poor. In fact he has a 7'2" wingspan which is among the best in the game. Coupled with being a bulky guy with good leaping ability, he can block a lot of shots and grab a lot of rebounds. Even without an offensive skillset, he could still get a lot of PT on many teams... any player who can be an inside presence like that is in demand.

Unfortunately, his character and work ethic have pretty much torpedoed his career. It's a shame.

    How dumb is Joey?

    1) He gets his passport taken away by the Rockets while playing for the Vipers.
    2) Finally, he is back in the NBA. He gets waived for more "clownish" behavior that could rub off on other teammates. They didn't want his behavior infecting the other young guys. There is no veteran leadership there.

He never gives up on that act. This guy had some physical tools, but he doesn't care about the job.

    Clownish behaviour? Gees.

I can just imagine Joey's behaviour if he stuck around as Rox representative at union meetings.

    Bad year for Dorsey huh.

    What a waste of talent.

    Ignorance, is not always bliss.

Considering the amount of "talent" he has, not much waste.

All of those physical gifts didn't translate to the court. Despite having a 7'2" wingspan and weighing a rock-solid 265lb, he was pushed all over the court by opposing post players. He was overpowered in just about every matchup he had.

Some guys' weight room physiques just don't translate to functional basketball strength.

That's not what I saw this season. He had some good games in the few he played in. Showed some toughness, I thought.

Joey's problem is the dead space between his ears.
