Are your friends Spurs fans? If so, I would guess opposing fans' chants are annoying. But I'm disappointed about the cussing if that is true (wouldn't be surprised if true).

What are yall's chants, for those RR in here?

Not sure why anyone would complain about the Rowdies, they look like they are having fun and cheering for the Rockets...good for them.

And the whole "Who dat"...thing? It was current, the Saints just won the super bowl.

    Makes sense to me.

And V3.0....what is wrong with you?

Did someone put a "I need to be rude" chip in your head? All you do is complain about what others do, maybe you should try being a "Do-er" instead of a whiner.

    Disgraceful.

Thank You Sir! It always seems at games that there's a few people sparingly in each section trying to battle the rowdies for their fanhood. The term "fan" comes from the word fanatic. If you just go to games to say, "Hey, I'm cool, I went to a Rockets game." Well then shame on you! If you want to quietly watch the game, then sit your arse at home and watch it. The Arena venue in sports is made for fans and cheering and being loud. I dare some idiot to tell me to sit down again while I'm up rooting with 3 mins to go in the fourth. Ass in the face buddy, that's all you'll get, ass in the face. Oh, I'm sorry, was I too loud for you to carry on some conversation about your facebook with your friend next to you? It is a sports event people. EVERY game counts, EVERY play counts. Get Loud! Get Proud! Cheer for your damn team.

I am unhappy with our current rowdies and would like new ones. They traveled from Houston to the game in New Jersey. I sat near them. They didn't do a god damn thing but hold up a sign that said "Red Rowdies, All the Way From Houston." Rowdy my ass. My 95 year old grandmother is more rowdy than those guys

Ignite! Take Flight! Hope the Rockets win Tonight!

Or chants for individual players when they make a big bucket or something similar.

Honestly, all the folks with negative comments are not insightful and have had absolutely nothing intelligent to add. You are NOT a fan if you try to knock someone else's passion for the same team. You are simply a disgrace and for that some of these folks should be band. Contributing members or not. You are a lame embarrassment to the sports world and have no understanding of the basis on which it was founded.

i like the rowdies, even tho their pregame romp around the stadium can be a little obnoxious at times! :p

call me old fashioned, but as far as the chants goes, the only chants i really cared for during any basketball game is DEFENSE!

if my memory is correct, the purpose of red rowdies was to get the crowd into the game, but how can a crowd chant with you guys if the chants are something they arent familiar with? no need to be super creative with your in game chants, go back to basics and dumb it down a little, guarantee more ppl get more into the game with you guys! now if you want to do crazy creative chants pregame, do it, no more"lets go rockets, lets go" chants when you guys are beating on drums around the arena! :p

maybe instead of mobbing around the stadium in a group, split up the group to be at the gates, greet fans, give high fives, take pictures, i think that will "psych" fans up more.

At first when I was about to type this I was about to agree with people that the Rowdies aren't that rowdy anymore, but then it came to me. What do they have to be rowdy about this season? This season is a wash. But imo I think they need to get rid of it and just start making money out of those seats. I tired of looking at that azn guy that is looking like he's roid rageing every time he screams at the camera.

Bet you won't tell him that in his face.

I love the rowdies. I BUY my seats in the red Rowdy Section Because I can be loud and no one can look at me funny.

I try to lose my voice at every Rockets game I go to.

I felt a need to reply to this post for multiple reasons:

    1. Rowdy fans just don't impress anyone like a supporter group should
    2. I'm sure if prices were cheaper we'd probably have a giant CF group
    3. Groups like the Houston Dynamo have are awesome, and all those European basketball/soccer clubs like Panathinaikos are amazing
    4. ....those European basketball/soccer clubs like Panathinaikos are amazing. So when you compare them to the Rowdies...I'm just left with a meh feeling.

    1. The rowdies are a great bunch, and I appreciate there presence, and what they add to the games. They do impress me, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but trying to get things organized, even with just a few friends, it’s like herding cats.

European club supporters sing songs during the games; it’s important to note that it’s often an old song or a song which most everyone has heard. For England Rugby, it’s Swing Low Sweet Chariot. Songs are also commonly based on hymns or current music with verses changed etc... Also singing songs in pubs and bars is much more common over there.

I am not proposing we start singing Yellow Rose of Texas or The Eyes of Texas, etc.. But if the rowdies broke out into Sinatra’s My Way, or James Brown’s Payback, it wouldn’t have to be the whole song, just the first few verses, could it catch on?

The first problem with this is that music clips or other noise is almost constantly played during the game. You would need a good group to get this going.

The second problem is organization. Someone would have to take ownership in this and make it a point to get it done. Anyone could try this in theory, print out 100 copies of the lyrics, hand them out through your section before the game and tell people, “hey in the 3rd we are singing this song.” That probably wouldn’t be too effective. The rowdies however already have some organization so they could feasibly do it.

    Examples:

    Payback

hey! Gotta gotta pay back!! (The big payback)
Revenge!! I'm mad (the big payback)
Got to get back! Need some get back!! Pay Back! (the big payback)
    That's it!! Payback!!! Revenge!!!
    I'm mad!!

Get down with my Rockets, That ain't right!!
    Hollarin' cussin', you wanna fight
Payback is a thing you gotta see…..

Get ready thats a fact, Get ready you Mother for the big payback (the big
    payback!)
    Hey!! I'm a man! I'm a man! I'm a son of a man, but don't they tell ya then
    hop again
Get ready for the big payback (the big payback!!) Hit 'em again!!
Get ready I need it, I need a hit again!!

    My Way

And now the end is near
So I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

    I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
    I did it my way

    Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception…….

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you know
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
    And did it my way

    2. I have only been to one dynamo game, and the ticket was around 20 dollars. Rockets tickets can be purchased in that price range. I have sat all over the upper sections of the arena this past season and have not found a bad seat yet. Even those handy cap seats at the very top are ok. I think the problem is organization, not price.

    3. Again only been to one Dynamo game, but the intense constant cheering was primarily going on in a few sections on the ends of the field. It was impressive but involved instruments and large flags / banners. I don’t know if the rowdies are allowed to use either, do to obstruction (blocking other people’s view of the game).

    4. European football clubs have been around forever, and so has the singing, it’s a cultural thing; it caries over to all sports, rugby, boxing, NFL Europe when it was around, basketball, can’t really compare that to the NBA. I think the same could be said South/Central American football clubs and supporters.

Our whole stadium is boring. The fans sit on their buts with no knowledge of the game. Don't stand up or cheer anything except a dunk. Give me a break, it looks like morgue when watching on TV.

A friend of mine scheduled dinner in the Red/White room. I stood the entire time with my plate of food. If ever come across enough money, I'm going to buy out the court side seats for ClutchFans who know the game and love the Rockets. We would piss the 2nd Row off because we would stand the entire game and only sit during timeouts.
