Single players don't win championships, teams do. The whole idea of a superstar "carrying" a team to a championship is a fiction created by the NBA for marketing purposes and happily eaten up by the fans. Look at LeBron's playoff stats from last season. If you think it's his fault they didn't win a championship... you're an idiot.
All he said was for LBJ to prove that he is capable enough a leader. Obviously it is not easy to win it all and it is a team effort but superstars do carry teams there. You cannot win it all in this league without a guy who can take over and hit the big shots. I personally think he is capable with the right group around him (he took a bunch of scrubs to the finals in 07 and completely dominated Detroit and Atlanta last year before running into a superior team). All the poster said was LeBron has not proven so.
Lebron is in the same situation as Paul Pierce, Garnett and Allen, before the trade that led to the championship. Great players that could get to the playoffs, but could win until they got another star or 2 to work together. A bunch of solid roleplayers is not enough.
Everyone needs to face the facts that the Clippers are gonna be full of mediocrity forever if they don't get a new owner. There must be some bad karma or voodoo curse put on Donald Sterling after his racial discriminations suits for not allowing African Americans to rent out his properties. Also, he racially discriminated people in his own front office, specifically, Elgin Baylor. Dude needs to leave, or else the Clippers franchise is doomed! Not even the great King James can help that franchise outta mediocrity.
