Maybe I'm splitting hairs too finely. I believe they are connected with the tea party. I don't see any doubt about that. I think they share part of the blame for the tea party being nothing more than a flash mob rather than a serious political movement.

I also think GOP leaders and Tea Party leaders are responsible for a lot of the misinformation out there. But I guess they have the right to do this. I hate censorship of any kind. I hate it even when it is censoring idiots like those connected with the tea party.

But to actually be responsible for what some members do? I think there is a distinction. I guess if I truly thought they were partially responsible then there should be some sort of action such as a law suit, if not criminal charges filed against them. Because I don't think that is justified, that is why I say I don't hold them responsible. Yet their hands are dirty in the whole mess.

Maybe I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too.

I think they are responsible. You got to hand it to the republicanos. They do propaganda better than any communist or fascist regime in history. Who else can carry out war crimes without ever suffering the consequences? That takes talent. It sucks for us and the innocent around the world, but props anyways.

And I like how some say, well those talk show hosts are just entertainers or that not all "tea party" people are like that, just 98 percent of them. =/

You may be right, but it seems bloody close to the usual definition for "inciting" a riot.

I previously ignored basso videos - now I realize they are sometimes worth clicking on because they end up being rather embarrassing lies.

As long as people are careful to separate the Republican leadership from the "rank and file" Republicans out there, a group which doesn't include basso and his extremism, then yes, they are actively responsible. The GOP leadership has consistently courted the extremists within and outside of their party, chosing to denounce any acts of violence perpetrated by said extremists when accused of being at least partially responsible for those acts. It is both obvious and revolting.

One sided poll there. Who is to blame for the violence against Republican congressman? Dem. leadership? No. A few crazies from either side do not define everyone on the side!!

It's not remarkable that you're wrong, but it's remarkable how every single legal argument you make is defective, even when you are not intentionally being an assclown. Thank god you did not go to law school. You would have had to go to a place like Thomas Cooley and then ended up just wasting everybody's time and money.

Want to guess what makes you wrong here? I can give you a hint..the initials are S-O-L.

Your ignorance on issues you imply you have an interest in is astounding. It's already been through the legal system.

Can I see a citation where "Republicans" called Obama a terrorist?

And, BTW, moderates are viewed as wingnuts not liberals on this forum.

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. In my view a "moderate" cannot hold any of the following sacred and maintain his or her treasured status:

    * I can totally understand why people call our president a nazi and a communist even though I may not say it myself.
    * The democrats in congress are using completely unethical and never-before explored procedures to push their radical agenda.
    * I am unable to read any post comparing the 1993 GOP health bill to the current health bill. If you ask me about it, my eyes glaze over and I go back to my standard talking points.
    * Sarah Palin has a good grip of the facts, but has been unfairly treated by the gotcha media. She represents my views (you know, "freedom" and such like) and would make a great president.
    * Fox News is fair and balanced.

I consider any of those views to be so against any objective facts that they venture into wingnutia. And when we see those sentiments, the sentiments are labeled. I do think a few posters get lumped with wingnuts who do not deserve that label at all.

Clever way of grouping radical republicans with tea party members in your choices.....please turn off the CNN.

Where is option "E"; the democrats are staging this whole series of events in an effort to distract the public?

Did you not hear what Palin said yesterday at the McCain rally?

"Everyone here today supporting John McCain, we are all part of that Tea Party movement."

Wow in one short thread giddy got the evidence that Republicans called Obama a terrorist, and that there is a definite connection between Republicans and the Tea Party movement.
