is there an espn insider who can tell us what nba vets espn writers thought certain rookie players should study?? its on the espn nba homepage right now, thanks if you can
actually, i was hoping to see what they thought about evans, thabeet, jennings, curry and the others anyone have it?
it's separated into different pages for each player, so it's not something you can just copy over. you'd have to copy/paste 17 times or whatever
Tyreke Evans - LeBron James Stephen Curry - Steve Nash Darren Collison - Chris Paul Brandon Jennings - Chauncey Billups Ty Lawson - Andre Miller Marcus Thornton - Jason Terry DeJuan Blair - Dirk Nowitzki James Harden - Josh Smith Jonas Jerebko - Ron Artest Jonny Flynn - Jason Kidd Taj Gibson - Chris Bosh Chase Budinger - Ray Allen Terrence Williams - Courtney Lee Jrue Holiday - Deron Williams DeMar DeRozan - Anthony Morrow Jordan Hill - Joakim Noah Omar Casspi - Hedo Turkoglu Hasheem Thabeet - Tim Duncan
Yeah, I thought that one was a little bizarre, too. Here's their rationale: I suppose it more of who they could learn something from rather than who their game mirrors.
thanks a lot for that, i dont get why they want blair to study nowitzki so he can learn how to shoot....obviously if blair is in the nba wouldnt you think hes tried all of his life to shoot....? if he cant shoot now, then how is him study dirk any good for him??
Lots of players learn how to shoot effectively after reaching the NBA. He's still only a rookie. David Thorpe wrote this, and he's a basketball skills trainer by profession. I wouldn't question his advice.
First year Amare came into the league, he had no game 5 ft outside of the rim. In his 2nd year, he could knock down 15 footers on a semi-consistent basis. I'd give a player at least 3 years to see how they improve their game, whether it's shooting or defense.
