Slow down knee-jerkers. All this talk about rebuilding... what's the hurry guys? You can rebuild at any time, no? Yao's still got at least 3-4 good years left in him and it don't work out, then oh well, back to the drawing board.

Yao Mings are being produced left and right. Neither are Kevin Durants or Brandon Roys or Dwight Howards, etc. When you have a guy like Yao, you don't gamble and pull the trigger too early.

Hahaha, people are talking about rebuilding? What the heck? You don't rebuild a young team with a winning record and an injured superstar, you improve on what you already havae.

1 superstar is not enough. Not even Garnett or Shaq can lead a team by themselves. They need another superstar.

The point is to win rings, but you have to put yourself in position to do so. Thats hard to do when the highest paid player on your team has missed basically 2 full seasons in the last 4 years. Yeah gasol is a role player, but he's 25, 16ppt 10 rebs and getting better and playing 35 mins a night. We don't have a clue yao can produce anything like that coming back. It wouldn't bother me if yao retired a rocket, as long as he does it after next season.

don't forget that Clyde Drexler was key in the 2nd championship.

and the first championship had Otis Thorpe who was an all star. Granted Dream was the MVP, but the supporting cast was the toughest up there with the pistons bad boys.

Those other dudes like Robert Horry, Mario Elie, and Sam Cassell turned out some more championship rings.

I think Cassell will be an awesome coach. Dude took the Clippers to the 2nd round! I don't think he gets enough credit for that miracle.

considering washington blew up with the arenas incident and all those trades, I think they haven't done that bad of a job coaching wise.

I always think Sam is a great player. He helped KG reach the WCF, made the Clippers somewhat respectable and won a championship with the big 3 in Boston. Sure he was a backup in Boston but he played a big role, imo bigger a role than Payton in 06 Heat. He just never got appreciated and had to change team summer after summer. Was Cuttino on that Clippers team too?

Sinking feeling, really? I don't want to go off on a tangent since this is the post-game analysis thread but I think you might be overlooking what he's done to help this franchise, even if he is injury prone.

I mean c'mon he's the reason this happened:

The "sinking feeling" was for leebigez, he's the one thinking it's a good idea to trade Yao. So reply to him.

We really have to get rid of Trevor. It's so easy to start liking a player when he comes to your team, but I just cant get myself to like him. That means it wasnt meant to be. I dislike his game tremendously. He's so unskilled. His arms are so frail that it always looks like he's too weak to get the shot up or dribble correctly. More importantly, every time he shoots I just know hes gonna miss and every time he dribbles I just know hes gonna lose the ball. And I'm usually right. He also sucks defensively. He gets abused one-on-one and doesnt get nearly enough steals for as much as he gambles. He also thinks hes very good and always calls for the ball, which I hate. Get rid of him. I've had enough. He is not a young Shane.
